Seems no problem to me. On my Atom system with meta-intel, even with a full (offscreen) graphics stack included (such as Qt5) I'm seeing a 700 MB image for Atom. Hi, I haven't tried to deploy or to compile it yet. I first wandered if building the minimal core image (without any customization) will give result of image < 1GB. Anyway, I guess it is something that I will know only after making the build. I hope it will be < 1GB...
