please check the x-worlds homepage (the old one with the MC-section).

http://www.xworlds.com/metacard/

-> Contributors

There you will find a nice stack from Mr.Senior (Field exporter)
that does exactly what you want (and more...)

It's MC-based, so it is no external and therefore crossplatform!!!

It is ALWAYS a good thing to take look at that site FIRST!!!

Hunt the RTF externals that have been available for HyperCard. I have
seen a few different ones over years, although I haven't actually
used any of them.

Exporting Styles RTF-HTML Revisited

2001-06-25 Thread Sivakatirswami

There was a thread in January relating to exporting text from Metacard and
the woes of retaining styles in the absence of RTF translation.

Today, I face the same problem. Of course one can

put the htmlText of fld "tText" into url "file:whatever"

And you end up with nice HTML...

But that doesn't help much if you want to get that into something like
QuarkExpress...there were murmurings about using MSWord to read the html
document, but I have MS Word 9.0 and I cannot get it to render the html...it
just opens it with all the tags "in plain site"

Any hope? Did anyone get an RTF translation external functioning on a MAC?

More and more the power of Metacard to process text is becoming a serious
tool -- problem is...you end up with low level ASCII...
