Hi Erik, My guess: Layers. If your controls are listed in the Control Browser, they're there somewhere. Here are the major possible causes of your experience: 1) The group that contains some of them might be sitting on top of the ones you can't find. (Use the Properties dialog to change the layer of the group to 1 and nothing can be hidden under it.) 2) They could have their "visible" props set to true. (You can fix that with the Control Browser "Show/Hide" button.) This isn't the likely problem though, because you see the controls sometimes. 3) Some controls would seem hidden if their locations are outside the rectangle of the stack window. (You can "answer the loc of control x" in msg and see if that's the case.) HTH. hello, i am the one whose properties stack goes blank if i try to type anything in (button input is ok). i now have half of my controls not showing when editbkgnd = false. they all show up when editbkgnd = true. they are all present in the Control Browser and listed as visible in bg and cd mode. there are no graphics or images. this is in gamma. = [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.erikhansen.org __ Do You Yahoo!? MetaCard 2.4.2 gamma-test
The MetaCard 2.4.2 gamma test (release candidate) is now available in the directory ftp://ftp.metacard.com/MetaCard/2.4.2/ Only the usual Win32/Mac/Linux engines are available there now, but we'll be building the rest of the UNIX platforms over the next couple of days and will put them in that directory as they become available.
