Hi all, the new and fixed version of the IDE is now online. Again apologies to all for the inconveniences. Something VERY strange is happening here on my computers!? I copied the script of "Mark's UB_standalone_builder.mc" to the MC standalone builder on my Mac, saved the stack and copied the stack "mctools" to my PC. Did not work on my PC, I got the same error again So I copied the script of "Mark's UB_standalone_builder.mc" to the MC standalone builder ON MY PC (same stack and steps as on my mac!), saved the stack and THEN it worked? Hmmm... Anyway, it is now tested on my PC and works fine now as it did in earlier days :-) Best from germany Klaus Major [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.major-k.de ___ metacard mailing list metacard@lists.runrev.com http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/metacard

Re: Can't assign App and Doc icons building stand alone
Hi I wrote the code that does this so I thought I would chime in. I haven't done any work on the SB in either MC or Rev for a fair while now so things may have changed but comparing the revGetIcoFile function in the SB scripts (in rev it's in the revStandaloneSettings stack script which is not password protected) could give you a clue what has changed. Icons are very tricky to work with and changes to the engine and icons may have required changes to my code. Re: Can't assign App and Doc icons building stand alone
Hi Ray, Problems once again with assigning desktop icons. This time it's the application's icon during the build of the Windows stand alone which is not cooperating. I thought I had created the right 16X16 .ico files. They worked with Metacard 2.6. But suddenly that's broken. well, a lot of things happened in the meantime :-) Now you need the windows icons (*.ico) in XP format. That means 48*48 pixel in 32bit, so 8bit tranparency is now possible. Actually there are 9 different separate icons in this file format: 32bit, 8bit and 4bit (or 1 bit, I am not sure) each in 48*48, 32*32 and 16*16 pixel. I personally use "Axialis Icon Workshop" to create these icons, but I am sure there are some free icon editors available somewhere on the net. Anybody? Me :-) Hope that helps.
