[meteorite-list] Give en ur two cents!

2012-04-19 Thread Steve Dunklee
Upset about high prices at the store and gas pump? Give em ur two cents! Buy
two cents worth of gas at the pump and two cents worth of cheeze at the wal
mart deli. and pay with your Debit or credit card. Congress authorized 14 cent
fees per transaction with credit or debit cards, so for a change you will cost
them money and if prices go down you will have more to spend on meteorites! The
new thin section of Sau 001 I got from Marmet Meteorites is awesome!
Cheers

Maybe, but they will just raise prices again to cover it.

[meteorite-list] AD... Canyon Diablo Spheroids

2012-04-19 Thread Jim Strope
I have been selling Canyon Diablo Spheroids for years. Now, my supply is VERY
low and I am going to have to reluctantly raise the price. HOWEVER, I will
keep the price the same for the next 24 hours as shown on my website.

There are two sizes .7 mm and 1.4 mm.

http://www.catchafallingstar.com/canyondiablo.htm

I am limiting this sale to 18 total grams. When 18 grams have been sold or 24
hours has passed, the sale will be over.

Most of you have probably bought these from me over the years but there may be
a few new collectors who would like to take advantage of their dwindling
availability.

Thanks, everyone.

2012-04-19 Thread Matthias Bärmann

Jim, list,

I'm glad to be able to confirm that the mentioned CD spheroids in their
nicely fitting capsules are real beauties, swarm beauties. They stimulate
one's imagination of the impact event: iron drops raining down from a most
likely dark iron-gray sky. Incredible.

Best regards,
Matthias

[meteorite-list] Strewn Field Questions

2012-04-19 Thread Jim Wooddell
I have a few questions about known strewn fields of the world. I have read
a few research papers on some fields, but I am really looking for specific
answers to some of my crazy questions.

So, first question: Does anyone know of confirmed strewn fields anywhere in
the world where the larger stones of each independent field are found less
than 1 mile of each other with different classifications?

Second question: If you do, what are the names of these fields and the
research documents that show the evidence???

Third question: What do you think the odds of 2 or three strewn fields all
ending on the large side in an area of less than 1 mile apart and to a
greater extent less than ¼ mile apart could be??? Would the odds be better
than winning the Mega Millions Lottery?

Thanks!

Jim
