[meteorite-list] (no subject)
I save all of the Meteorite Photos of the Day posts from the Met List. Something weird and distressing has happened. It appears that all of the photos sent to me over the years have been magically turned into the photo of the thin slice of Zagami submitted by Peter Marmot. So now I have hundreds of photos of the Zagami slice. Mercy! Has this happened to anyone else? Aloha Greg, I have not noticed this anomaly you speak of, but must declare that the cross polarized image of Zagami in thin section by Peter Marmet (not Marmot) is spectacular! gary On Nov 28, 2014, at 8:15 AM, GREG LINDH via Meteorite-list meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com wrote: I save all of the Meteorite Photos of the Day posts from the Met List. [meteorite-list] AD: To all collectors of Rare Falls
Hello everybody, Now that we all survived Turkey Day, we can get back to our favorite subject: Meteorites. And I recently acquired a nice little bunch of rare Falls. Those pieces are not big (that makes them affordable) but I only have one of each, so it is First Come, First Served. Here are the names from A to Z: Ausson Bishopville Canon City Ensisheim Honolulu Karatu Monahans Monroe Murray Tieschitz Trenzano Zebrak They are not on my website yet, so just ask, and I'll be glad to send picture and detail information. Thank you. Anne M. Re: [meteorite-list] Photo problem.
Greg, could it be that instead of an image that was saved, it was actually just a link to today's photo instead? That could account for all of the saved files being today's Zagami post. It would be a good experiment to wait until the next image is posted and see if all of your files change to that one.
