Re: [meteorite-list] Ensisheim Show 2020

2020-04-12 Thread Mattias Bärmann via Meteorite-list

Hey Zelimir, Anne, and listees,

undoubtedly the right - although sad - decision.

We'll keep Ensisheim in our very hearts and look forward to 2021.

Thanks for the info and take care all of you

Matthias

Hello everybody,
Here a message from Zelimir Gabelica the organizer of the Ensisheim Show.
Hello friends,
As president of the Association of Friends of the Meteorite of
Ensisheim, given the current situation (coronavirus and its
consequences), I have the duty to announce to you officially and with
great sadness, that we cannot maintain the 2020 edition of our Show on
meteorites and that, therefore, we postpone the event to 2021.
This decision takes into account the unanimous opinion of our
organizing committee and is also in complete agreement with the
opinion and request of the municipal authorities of the city of Ensisheim.
Our event involves a large number of dealers from all over the world
and attracts a large audience. Even if the current containment (the
latest news, planned to be extended beyond mid-April) will (perhaps)
end next June, it is expected that the period of "de-containment" will
be long and very progressive.
Health experts agree that the health crisis, but also, and most
importantly, the economic one, could last for weeks, even months. No
one can yet predict when the free movement of people across the
borders will be effective, or if the gathering of the public who
circulates during the fair will be officially authorized next June.
We hope that this pandemic will end before the end of the summer and
that we can resume our cultural and scientific activities with
confidence in June 2021.
With the full support of the entire organizing committee,
Best regards to all of you, and most importantly, stay healthy!
Zelimir
