Re: [meteorite-list] NWA 4936/5406 [was: NWA 2995]

2010-12-14 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Hello Greg and List,
let me correct the link :
http://meteorites.wustl.edu/lunar/moon_meteorites_list_alumina.htm
I was not talking about about 4936 and 5406, I meant the NWA material
especially 2995 which was found in Missouri Morocco, NOT Algeria.
There is no mistake for 4936/5406

NWA finds/falls corrected, just ask us

Jack Schrader purchased the NWA 4936 stones and I purchased
the paired NWA 5406 lunar stones from a Moroccan dealer
(List member) who told us this material was found near
Siksou Mountains in southern Morocco (Western Sahara). The
classifying scientists were also told this same information
by the Moroccan dealer. Here is a link to two photos of one
of the finders provided to me, is that you Aziz?
 1) http://www.lunarrock.com/nwa5406/siksou1.jpg
 2) http://www.lunarrock.com/nwa5406/siksou2.jpg

I was also provided an image of some of the stones next to
a GPS with coordinates clearly visible. A Google Earth
search places the spot south of Laayoune and SSW of Smara in
 Western Sahara.

Aziz, I appreciate your wanting to correct any false
entries in the Bulletin like the rest of us. If Jack and I
were provided with a false find location for NWA 4936/5406,
please let us know what you know. If we were lied to, this
is something only concerned Moroccans like yourself can try
to correct with your fellow countrymen. If we were provided
with false information, please contact your local friend and
sometime partner in Morocco, he will want to correct any
erroneous find locations as well. 'Confusion' like this is
why meteorites found in the Sahara desert are assigned with
an NWA designation number instead of an actual name of
where they are found, or reported as found from. There is
simply no confidence in this data because of a variety of
reasons (i.e. keep the site secret, the finder did not have
 GPS, etc.).

Here is part of my description for NWA 5406 that tries to
explain another problem with original distribution of NWA
 4936/5406:

Initially there was some confusion concerning the combined
Total Known Weight (TKW) of pairings of NWA 4936/5406 due to
mismanaged distribution of the original eight stones by a
Moroccan dealer. Eventually the puzzle was put together.
After thorough searches of the find site, it has been
established that there are eight individual stones that
together constitute NWA 5406 (six stones 281g) and NWA 4936
(two complete stones 179g and one 20g type sample from one
of the NWA 5406 stones) for a combined Total Known Weight of
480 grams. Two of the eight stones (179g total) were
purchased in 2007 by a collector, who removed 20 grams from
one of these complete stones and submitted it to a second
scientist for classification without realizing the material
had already been classified. Months later the two
classifying scientists were able to piece together the
puzzle when the final four stones were purchased, and
another 20 grams was submitted and classified under the NWA
5406 designation. Luckily, all eight stones were proved to
come from a single Moroccan dealer and/or finder then
classified by the same scientist! In all, a combined total
of 60.1 grams in type samples have been deposited at UWS and
 UAz.

I hope this helps, Thank You for your concerns!

 Best regards,
 Greg

[meteorite-list] Wisconsin vs Tamdakht and other NWA falls

2010-04-30 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Dear list members,
I was wondering about the price about the two falls, Wisconsin and Tamdakht (
nwa fall example). why does Wisconsin is expensive more than Tamdakht 30
times? is it because of the TKW, the a video of the fireball was taken or
tamdakht was felt in NWW ( since nwa is known with the cheapest meteorites in
the planet because people here are poor).
The most thing I noticed is that UShunters have one word, otherwise some NWA
dealers who do not have access to such a fall try to breake it by saying there
is 500kg or a Ton, btw, does anyone know what's the TKW of Tamdakht?
My experience tells me even a common chondrite falls in Europe or US would
cost 30 times the same material falls in NWA, i klnow that USand europe have
stong economy, but it's about meteorite fall, no matter where it falls.
Please let me knwo what is the difference between NWA falls and
American/european falls!!!
what about a US lunar find, i think it would cost $30k a gram.
I really hope to ge some reasonable questions!!

My best and happy hunting to our friend in the Wisconsin field.
Aziz, Suffron guy

I'm very thankful to John Hamphries and Gary Fujuhara who took us to Tucson and
showed us some moments they have lived, like
Mike farmare's material, michael blood auction, the material that is going

Now I like you, you show me a little of MAn being, I don't need to tell people
who you are because they already know you, and if you follow Moroccans who put
food on your table, you will lose for sure, you are making yourself a joke.
And I hope all Moroccan do not sell you meteorites, I am so happy I never had a
deal with, I was lucky I did came you way, I would just be a victime.
I know that Habibi's Nakhlit kicked you out, the same for Monzogabbro and many
other planetaries, another one one is on the way this one wiil make you very
sad you have my word.
Before you say moroccans go wash your mouth with pur honey then say it.
I can' wait to see you out of NWA meteorites, And I'm happy for other
meteorites dealers who respect us, we offer them any type meteorites for the
best prices. and they are very thankful for their trust and honesty,
I hope that Moroccans stop selling you meteorites and if you are a MAN, don't
buy anymore from Morocco.
Time to hit the hay
Thanks to everybody who emailed and support me, your emails are confidential.

 Hello Aziz,

OK, if you sent this sample to Dr. Irving, what is the NWA
number? What further analysis by supporting scientists
and/or laboratories that are needed to confirm such a
meteorite as you advertise. In my own experience and
conversations with Dr. Irving and other scientists, they
ALWAYS insist that oxygen isotope studies by other labs to
'confirm' their initial (not FINAL) analysis of a sample,
whether by you or other people.

We see through your Smoke-n-Mirror advertising and are not
going to accept sub-standard behavior if you guys
(Moroccans) are going to sell your wares to us without
proof. You can spout off names, but the bottom line is proof
and accountability. If, and more often than not, you guys
sells us crap, do you refund us our money? NO! I give you
credit to good stone later, Mr. GReg! ,,, typical reply.

You Moroccan stone traders want to be accepted by the world
meteorite community as being legitimate, but your continuous
behavior reveals you worry nothing more than lining your
pockets with cash and care nothing about meteorites. To
translate, one of my favorite Moroccan's best phrase is, I
do not collect meteorites, I collect money! I find this
very accurate with almost all Moroccan's I have worked with
over the last 10 years. Sad!

I have heard way too many stories of people being ripped
off by Moroccan Stone Traders! I am completely tired of
their crap! Maybe time to speak up a little more...

 Greg

2009-12-19 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Hey Aziz,

do we need this in this list, you do not think sincerly that its enough
poisin here, and its holidays and we need better thing to talk about
did you give to this man a chance to talk,
he say dr tony irving have seen it, what else do you want,

Yes we do need it more than greg, let's talk and say the fact and tell people
who we are and give them the freedom to decide, in earlier 2005, we have had a
plan to meet with greg at Zagoura, I did tell some friends, I was surprised
what they said then, they said, be carefull with greg.
I'm glade most of people of here trust us and they always encourage and keep
buying from us. greg has a very weathered mentality and we can do nothing to
change that fact, but let's just wish him good things althought he hates us and
we don't acre. heh

that its enough poisin here, and its holidays and we need
 better thing to talk about
did you give to this man a chance to talk,
he say dr tony irving have seen it, what else do you want,

he could say he is selling an unclasified meteorite that is
 probably a co3 and its done ,
 question of term and rules,

but this is going to much hard, why have you to include the
morrocans , they are 10 or 15 dealer from 1000, in this
 list
why have you to generalise this,
i think that we need more civisme and respect in this list
there is many way to ask a person a question
 1= please how do you know its a co3;
2= please give me information of your based opinion,
3= do not give me nothing  i do not want to give you a
chance to talk , im angry,,,

 4= its enough

morrocans are selling unclassified meteorite, and some are
selling classified one its for him to decide if he wnat to
go true the process of classification or not,

well if someone found a meteorite in brazil or china do you
ask him classification;; no you jump on aeroplane and you go
to see and by your eyes you take the decision to buy,

ok , let's ask the morrocan to make classification all of
them and to sell in ebay and to not sell wholesale , what ,
other dealer will do find an other job,

 let be sincere and rationnel;

 enough is enough

and one thing important, let's not be ashamed by our own
words,  if someone by luck get into this list and read the
 archives ,
 he will ask one question
why they are treating morrocans like slaves
is this a racist list??? or some member are racist??
and why they are not answring
and why no one in this list members react,or
 answer,??

 think about it

if this continue this way i will queit this list and i will
be ashamed that my son read by mistake what is hapenning in
 this list..

sincerly, this is a civic polite interferation in your
ongoing discussion, and i do like to stop it here ,
no more off this , as we will fell down further;; and it
doens't go well with our academique list,

by the time i tell myself do not write this bad term in the
list may be;;; dr x or sir y will read this and think  is
 a very down level,
i m not , i do see many email that i need to answer them
but i tell to myself  stop it you do not need this in your
 journey,

calm down and let the morrocan in peace they are doing a
good job and they are selling very cheap, and bringing a lot
of wonderfull stone to the collector
and they are  very honnest and i never heard in morroco
that any dealer morrocan ripped of anyone,

cr2 in 1999 was selling for 1500$/gr now 20$ the poor
 collectors
lunar in 1999 was selling for 15000$ now 600$_1000$  the
 poor collector
this is the market, and i m happy for the
 collector;

i hope we do not see here a kind of  big big R

 Subject: [meteorite-list] Meteorites Money Morocco

  Good Evening,

maybe I should tell our experiences with our Moroccan
 colleagues,
as NWA is our main field of our occupation and Stefan
 was in Morocco from
  beginning on of the NWA-period.
Because some of the assertions made here are in our
 eyes not acceptable.

First of all we all have to bring to our minds to
 whome all this wealth of
new meteorites that we have today is due to.
I'm old enough to remember the days before the
 NWA-rush, where dealers,
collectors and scientists traded forth and back always
 the same few stones.
Nowadays we got in roughly 10 years more new
 meteorites than 40 years of
Antarctic hunts will yield, we have all the rare
 types, where we could only
dream of the hundred years before. And we have them at
 prices, that finally
each and every collector can take part in that
 fascinating world.
We got from Morocco stones, of which no scientist
 could divine, that
something like that could exist at all.
NWA was the historical boost for science, for the
 collectors and partially
  also for the meteorite trade.

And who made this all possible?

The Moroccan people and the people of Maghreb.
 Full stop.

We hear here on the list so often rants and words of
 haughtiness about the
  Moroccan dealers, hunters, colleagues, experts.
What I never will understand, how people could speak
 so bad about them;
people, who built up their wealth and their
 reputation, they pride
themselves today, with the stones the Moroccans
 delivered to them.

Why they then weren't going searching for meteorites
 by their own in the
deserts, if their business partners were so lousy as
 they tell?
Ask the US-hunters, ask the Oman-hunters, how many
 stones you have to pick
up, until you have a mediocre eucrite or a CV3, those
 stones, we all take
  for granted.

The people in Sahara are doing an incredible job.

Yes of course, there are also black sheeps in Morocco
 - but those we do have
  also among the Western dealers.
And of course down there is simply not the
 infrastructure, that one would
get each stone perfectly and readily classified and
 that the weights and the
  find data would be known.
But that is a hundred times balanced, by the often
 lower prices there and by
the circumstance that one gets there such great stones
 at all!
Of course it can be here and there risky for a private
 collector, because
they often can't know the dealer yet, but why shall
 professional dealers
complain about the Moroccans? It is plain simply
 part of their job, to
recognize the stones there, to recognize pairings, to
 buy them in Morocco
and to bring them to classification. If they don't
 want to do that, then
they shall sell classic and historic meteorites.

And some of the recent posts here on the list ignore
 the positive
developments, the Moroccans made. First of all you
 find a lot of true
experts there, who know their stones very well.
 Partially they started to
send samples to classification. Note also, that we
 started to integrate the
  Moroccans into IMCA.

And that sweeping blow, condemning all Moroccans - we
 can't confirm that
  perspective in no way.
Our experience is rather, that our partners, if a
stone turns out to be a
pratfall, often are exerted to limit the damage, in
 taking back stones or in
balancing it with the next deal.

  And why?

Because there exist a very simple rule. Not only for
 Morocco, but for life:

Treat your partner with respect and fairness
and he will treat you the same way too.

  Our opinion.
  Good night!
  Martin

I'm glad you are on top of this and that you are keeping in

postal money order. Hopefully the Moneyram will work out and

 Hi Brian, listers.
Actually it was a postal money order that I
mailed out to him (Mr. Abdellah Afiniss), and yes it
 included the cost
of the stones plus the shipping costs. I asked him to mail
 it back to
me and he said he did.

Once I get the slip back I'm going to
get back the money I put onto it and re-send the payment to
 him -
probably via Moneygram (which he told me he accepts).

At first offered me a lot total of 8.5 kgs of chondrites
 (all
unclassified),, knowing full well I couldn't afford all
 that I circled
some stones in Paint.net (free image editing program
 similar to
MSPaint) that I wanted in the photographs, emailed back to
 him and
kindly asked him to send me images of each meteorite I
 picked sitting
on the scale to show their weights... I then worked out the
 prices
until I made the final decition on buying five rocks
 together weighing
 837 grams..

As I said he has been very cooperative, and I thanks him
and I thank all here on the list for their
 input/suggestions!

  Hello Melanie and list,

In regards to your question of sending payments to
Morocco, I have to ask a
couple of questions and others also mentioned they
 weren't clear on your
question since you didn't seem to be including
 shipping costs. I'd like to
help you out and I mean this in the most thoughtful
 and kindest way
possible, so please don't take it negatively or have
 any anger towards me.
Make sure you include shipping costs when you were
 determining the total
amount of the payment you need to send to the seller
 and then send a check
and then say you couldn't afford the FedEx shipping
 costs if that is what
you agreed to buy from the seller? You have said this
 in the past about not
having money to pay for something or to pay for the
 shipping costs. It's
good to ask for help if you are not experienced in
 sending payments outside
of Canada beyond Paypal. This sounds like you decided
 to send a check for
the meteorites and then were going to decide about a
 payment for the
shipping as a separate payment or to pay for
 shipping later on. Is this
why you stated you couldn't afford the FedEx shipping
 costs after you had
sent your personal Canadian paper check? This doesn't
 sound right why you
wouldn't determine the full amount due to the seller
 for the items with
shipping and or insurance and then send one payment
 and later decide you
couldn't afford the shipping costs they gave you.

Also, you stated you sent a Paper Check which, as I
 am thinking is a
personal check from your personal Canadian bank
 account by what you wrote.
I'm confused to why would you think that a personal
 check from your Canadian
bank account would be valid as you say, to a dealer
 in Morocco, which I am
sure it is valid in Canada and you have money in your
 account, but most
likely would not be accepted in Morocco or any other
 country? You don't
often hear of dealers in Asia, Africa, Europe or for
 the most part any
dealers in the U.S. or anywhere in North or South
 America or Australia that
would accept a personal Paper check from a bank in a
 different country,
although it may happen. A check from a Canadian bank
 account or from a U.S.
bank account or any personal paper check from any
 other country most likely
won't be accepted unless they verified with their

[meteorite-list] Pairings/ scaring people

2009-11-12 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Dear list members,

The subjest was why to scary people from buying meteorites direcly from
Morocco as I said before, if a Moroccan stole you, tell it in the list and we
will help to refund you publicaly, but to tell collectors that moroccans are
robbers and you keep buying from them, that is crazy.
How about if I buy a 1kg lunar stone from a very poor man lives in a tent
worths $100 and wear $2 for $7000 and sell it for thousands of dollars,
wouldn't I feel guilty if I do not help this person atleast $10k as a bonus he
worths, what about If I buy from you a lunar and tell you if turns out to be
something good ( not mention LUNAR) and when it is a lunar I do not give you
that bonus, what about if I got a lunar sample from you and tell you it's a
eucrite and then send someone else to buy it from you for the price eucrites,
how about if I buy pairings material without sending a sample for pairings and
tell people to not do that?
Dear collectors, is there anyone of you who has been treated by sending a
lunar sample and after getting the main stone different, if so, please tell us
and we can discuss and see how to help you.

About the total known weight TKW, it is impossible to know the exact TKW of the
NWA finds, we have not access to most strewnfields, even in our western sahara
we can not move as we like because of militaries and mines areas, only Touareg
have access to these dangerous places, if the nomad get me a good stone, I
would spend a lot of money to reach him and ask him to go back to the place the
first stone was found in, i have to give him additional money, nomads are not
experts hunters, they only use their eyes and hunting takes months, i would be
lucky if the other deals do not know about my stone, if they do, they would
send their nomads friends to the area and this is the reason why many paired
stones are shown by different dealers. when the first stone discovered, the
buyer asks if this is the only stone available, I honestly say YES, but we are
still hunting ( how would i know if it is the only one available or not, I
think i need to ask the stone
itself, how many sisters you have?!). most planetaries come from Algeria, the
only strewnfield we have accecc to is sikssou, missour and anwal. if you want
to have a large lunar in your collection, go ahead buy it and get it
classified, if you want to cut and sell, aslo get it classified, I myself, if I
have a paired lunar, I would sell it unclassified lunar with guarantee, i don't
need to steale your money and I don't LOVE money, I only want what my stone
worths, I'm always doing my best and some nomads and dealers caused me problems
and I solve them by losing money but not a friend who trusted me and send me
big cash, I am still young but learned enough to play with me. I love
meteorites and like to have lot of friends and improve my knwolege, I am
positive with everybody, I don't try breake Moroccans, american or europeans.
This is how I see things, if I'm wrong, please let me know and thanks in
advance.
Have a wonderful evening
Aziz

2009-11-11 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Dear List members,
In Morocco, here is no Paypal as it is not allowed to get the currency out of
country, we can buy online or send money out of country, but if you have a
company and want to import something, you need to provide papers and if you
have a son studying in canada, USA or europe, you have a limite to send him
monthly, about $500-$600.
We have 3 payment methodes :
Western Union ; the most expensive,

MoneyGram : cheap way, available in Post offices in US, Canada and UK.

Bank Transfer : is the best even it takes 3-7 days, the bank take from the
money their commission and when changing currencies ( ex : they get $1000 from
your transaction for 7.65 MAD and sell it to Bank Almaghreb for 7.68) that
means they do not buy the devise from you the same value in the market.

Better you get back your check and then make the payment using one of the 3
ways.

Shipping Methodes ;
Chronopost ; the worst in the world
Fedex : excellent, they even offer discounts and they have options
Parcel post : excellent, cheap but takes a while, guaranteed, I was told that
Fedex delivers their packages.
DHL : excellent, I just hate the girl works there .
 EMS : Never worked with
 Airfreight ; large countities 100kg-up $520 for 100kg.

GREGS CAREFULLY AREN'T SENDING MONEY TO MOROCCO NOWADAYS? AREN'T YOU GETTING
SHIPMENTS? LET OTHERS DO IT AND DO NOT BE SELFISH

One last thing, I don't understand how the moroccan did not know about all the
payments methodes since he is selling meteorites, even beginners know western
union.

  Dear List members,
In Morocco, here is no Paypal as it is not allowed to
 get
the currency out of country, we can buy online or send
 money
out of country, but if you have a company and want to
 import
something, you need to provide papers and if you have
 a son
studying in canada, USA or europe, you have a limite
 to send
  him monthly, about $500-$600.
We have 3 payment methodes :
Western Union ; the most expensive,

MoneyGram : cheap way, available in Post offices in
 US,
  Canada and UK.

Bank Transfer : is the best even it takes 3-7 days,
 the
bank take from the money their commission and when
 changing
currencies ( ex : they get $1000 from your transaction
 for
7.65 MAD and sell it to Bank Almaghreb for 7.68) that
 means
they do not buy the devise from you the same value in
 the
  market.

Better you get back your check and then make the
 payment
using one of the 3 ways.

  Shipping Methodes ;
Chronopost ; the worst in the world
Fedex : excellent, they even offer discounts and they
  have options
Parcel post : excellent, cheap but takes a while,
guaranteed, I was told that Fedex delivers their
 packages.
DHL : excellent, I just hate the girl works there .
  EMS : Never worked with
  Airfreight ; large countities 100kg-up $520 for
 100kg.

GREGS CAREFULLY AREN'T SENDING MONEY TO MOROCCO
NOWADAYS? AREN'T YOU GETTING SHIPMENTS? LET OTHERS DO
IT AND DO NOT BE SELFISH

One last thing, I don't understand how the moroccan
 did not
  know about all the payments

Tanmirt Nels,
I perfectly agree with you and I respect you.
I advice every collector to buy as much great stones as he can directly from
Moroccans, and if you are ripped off we Moroccans will unite to help you to get
your money back.
I hope my Moroccans friends accept this idea, this is a good plan to protect
our reputation and business.

Martin, Please pass this on for me! I have dealt with and
 met many
Moroccans in the meteorite field. To a person they were all
 honest and
perfectly trustworthy. If they were to actually cheat
 someone, they would
soon have no business at all. Are people dishonest?
 Yes-it's in varying
degrees in every one of us, no matter the color of hair,
 eyes or skin.
Generally I do not have trouble with anyone and I have
 never had trouble
coming from NWA!! I have sent actually thousands of dollars
 to NWA for
specimens-I am very happy with what I have in exchange! If
 you trust people
and treat them as you would wish to be treated-with respect
 and
consideration you normally will not be disappointed. I am
 sure someone has
had a difficult deal with someone, somewhere-but those of
 you who
have-can you before your own self say it was always the
 other guys fault?
I think we all share in the burden of being gentlemen and
 women to each
other. I think this thread of trashing someone else,
 blaming everyone else
is demeaning and shows the true character of those few who
 continually do
it! If we do not learn to trust and get along we may never
 survive as a
 species! Azule, Nels

[meteorite-list] NWA planetaries and Moroccans

2009-05-18 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane

Hello List,
Everytime we talk about Meteorites and morocco, there's someone to tell that
Moroccans are not trustworthy, can anyone tell me how? every american/european
was rippied off should tell us who stole his money and every moroccan should do
the same, this way we'll have a good idea about who is trustworthy and who is
NOT, and it also helps to know untrustworthy people to avoid dealling with'm.
A few of you knows lots of very interesting facts about Amercans and
Moroccans. dealers, collectors and scientists are all in this matter.
So, please, any american or european was ripped off by a moroccan, give us the
names and how he stole your money, and hopefully we can hear from moroccans.

If it is the real Monzogabbro, you can sell it using the number 4734, it came
from the stone Dr. jambon analysed and got the 20g twice, you don't need to

 This is NWA 4734.
You can see a picture of an 11g slice I have here:
 http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c165/jedisdiamond/DSCF1732.jpg
and compare it to this one:

and see its the same material.
This has come from a very reputable supplier in Morocco and
 is without a doubt authentic.

2009-01-19 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Dear listees,
Now, you've seen the very small crater; campar it with carancas crater which
was selling for $50/g and more, where is the people telling bull shits on the
list? I have my pictures with the crater and the local inhabitation whom found
it, was there hundereds of kilograms? show us what you have!! if you just like
typping on a keyboard, that's your problem which has no influence on the sale
of this meteorite, this is a cool fall only the trustwothy guys have it, let
other jerks talk, they have and will have nothing, they all are liars, talking
numbers and citoirs, mike purchased Bensour from a dealer and took it near to a
road and prentend it was bensour strewnfiel,( if mike or his slave were to
bensour i'm the mother of tirizza as matteo said before) for those whom
pretendiing they lost hunderdes of $s, we have to set up an association to help
them to recuperate their money!! $1k from me is guaranteed.
Anyway, if anybody is willing to get a fine piece of this fall, I have some,
only serious collectors, I know who to reply, so don't try to get info and go
away.
All in all, a sample was sent to be analyzed, I have jps data and the pics of
myself and the crater which will be published on the meteote bultin.
dear collectors, let me tell you that the complete crusted stones are
impossible to get, if you are lucky, you might get a 70% crusted piece, give me
you order and let me see.
Cheers

[meteorite-list] NEW Moroccan fall

2009-01-16 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Hello List Members,

The bright fireball seen over Taliouine travelleing from southwest to the
northeast, It has been seen over Igherm, Taliouine, Askaoune, so the right
direction of the meteoritic fireball, is Igherm- tichka( Telouat where it fell).
http://nwameteoritesss.skyrock.com/profil/photos/78989604

I wonder if a fireball can turn left or right and take the road to pass over
Marrakech to Eljadida, maybe it just come for a tourism trip and have some swim
at eljadida beach then get back to the space.

My best
Aziz

Hi Pierre and list,

The trajectory is from Southwest to northeast Igherm = Telouet passed over
Igherm, Taliouine, Askaoune, Boumgzare we thought first it fell at Boumgzar.
those who beleive on handereds of kgs, I'm sure they missed it and will missed
it as there's no hundereds.

 Hello,

that looks like a great new fall. But I found a stone
was found at Tamdaght SE of Telouet, on the road to
Ouarzazate. Does it confirm a trajectory from SW to
NE (Igherm - Telouet) ? Were the hundreds of
kilograms found near Telouet also ?

you has no gram from this fall and try to breake the real dealers whom really
have it, and not forwarding pics from nomads.

I just got an interesting phone call from Morocco.
It seems that this may be bigger than even the Moroccans
 are saying.
I was told that more than one metric TON of meteorite
fragments are recovered, and that apparently a massive stone
fell in the Atlas mountains forming a crater, and shattering
the stone into thousands of fragments. Not one complete
stone found, only again MORE THAN ONE TON of fragments.
I am awaiting photos. This one could be interesting! The
area is completely under heavy snow right now though.

Re: [meteorite-list] New Moroccan fall news.

2009-01-16 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Never a total known weight comes out from NWA, where is bassi that everybody
said there was a ton or so of it, the same for chergach, only a few grams
available from Moroccans right now, prices going down reason is moroccans
themselves, and for your info mike, you said you don't beleive it until you get
the pics, so why didn't you wait for photos and tell what is true, maybe you
are telling list members LIES, since you're not sure of what you say.
This fall is limited because it fell in Morocco, not chergach or bassi, where
you can not get the facts, but since it's here, what's availble of it, is what
is offering now.

Perhaps it is not true, I don't know, Moroccans are
certainly prone to making up lies, selling crap to anyone
with money, and scamming everyone. Hence, my urge of caution
to anyone wanting to buy. As a person who has spent nearly a
half million $ in Morocco, I do have my suppliers and people
I trust, and I trust most of what they say. Now, I am a
show-me type of person, I do not believe this until I see
photos or material, I still do not know if a fall occurred,
I know damn well that many Moroccans do not give a shit
about the meteorites, the business or the integrety of the
falls (for example, ensuring that pieces are seperated and
sold as what they are, not what makes more money). They want
to milk collectors out of every last Dirham.
Is this new fall real, or just the ugly broken pieces of
Chergach that no one wants to buy (hence the weathering)?
Moroccan people have done this to themselves, no one trusts
much of what they say anymore, every fall, Bensour,
Benguerir, Chergach, Oum Dreyga, Bassikounou, ALL of them
were only a few kilos this is all, there
is no more You will be the only supplier
buy it now, or you wont get any I paid
more but will sell to you for $1.00 gram blah blah
 blah.
So, I am writing direct information that I am getting from
a somewhat trustworthy supplier of mine in Morocco. He will
be in Tucson, so you can ask him if he has some, or is it
only you Aziz? We have heard this bird chirping a few times
 before.

My customers are tired of paying $3 or $5 gram for every
new fall from NWA area and them watching the price drop to
$1 gram. Well, this can be solved, don't buy it yet
until facts and total known weight come out.

[meteorite-list] New Moroccan fall

2008-12-27 Thread Abdelaziz Alhyane
Hello List Members,

Last Saturday, about 10:30 pm, a huge and bright fireball seen over Taliouine
travelleing from southwest to the northeast, poeple in high atlas mountains
confirmed that they have heard the firball hit a mountain in between Tahnaout
and Ait ourir, Marrakech region. inhabitants was so scared since they have
never seen a thing like that, it is so very hard to find the meteorites because
of the snow, much trees, and unfortunately much stories, most are blabla. but
we are always optimistic and trying to get more correct infos and why not to
find this meteorite, It would be a happy ending of the 2008.

I'll take that as a fireball that produced sounds. I
very much doubt anybody heard an impact. Still, sonic booms
are a strong indicator of meteorite production.
