[meteorite-list] AD: 7 gram Wold Cottage Ex British Museum via Jim Schwade

2020-05-22 Thread MSG - METEORITES via Meteorite-list
(FREE AD 2 of 2 for 2020)

Hi all,

I have a 7 gram part slice of historic Wold Cottage with fusion
crusted edge for sale. This piece has perfect provenance from the
British Museum to Jim Schwade to Mike Bandli to myself. It comes with
original labels from all and a copy BM label (as this slice was cut
from Jim's larger piece)

To add some extra clout and display potential to this historic
specimen I will also include the following:

- A half brick from the Wold Cottage monument that was erected in 1799
to mark the fall location. Personally collected by myself with
permission from the owners.

- An empty bottle of 'Falling Stone' beer

- A 12" X 8" archival printed photo of a view of the Wold Cottage
monument that was published in Meteorite Magazine.

Open to offers over $300 per gram

Re: [meteorite-list] [IMCA List] Dave Gheesling

2020-11-12 Thread MSG - METEORITES via Meteorite-list
Sean,

Just devastated to wake up this morning and hear this sad sad news. Dave
was an inspiration to many, me included. He was so kind and generous and
was a huge figurehead for the meteorite community. If he talked, we
listened and with good reason. He often uttered the deepest and wisest of
words in such a humble manner. He will be missed by us all.

My thoughts are with Maddie, Kasia and all his family.

Re: [meteorite-list] New UK VAT Requirements

2021-01-12 Thread MSG - METEORITES via Meteorite-list
Hi Mike,

Yep, sadly correct if the value is less than £135. Crazy! So you as a
vendor would have to register for VAT with UK authorities, charge and
collect 20% VAT on behalf of the UK government then file quarterly VAT
returns and pay the UK government what you've collected on their
behalf

Madness!

Cheers from across the pond.

2021-03-09 Thread Msg - Meteorites via Meteorite-list
Paid AD 4 of 12

Hi all,

Updated my webshop with some amazing oriented Tarda specimens, done with
beautiful iridescence. Please take a look here:

(
https://msg-meteorites.co.uk/product-category/meteorites/carbonaceous-chondrite-meteorites/tarda/
)

Some beautiful large Ghadamis stones (Officially HaH 346 but will always be
known as Ghadamis) See here:

(
https://msg-meteorites.co.uk/product-category/meteorites/chondrite-meteorites/hah346-ghadamis/
)

Also, have a lot of assorted other specimens to upload this work so please
keep an eye out here:

(
https://msg-meteorites.co.uk/product-category/meteorites/show-all-meteorites/

Just change the sorting from A-Z or price order to 'latest' and it will
show the latest specimens to be uploaded first.

All the best.
