Hi List,

Incorrigible situation since I'm currently confined to the home and it
initially sounded like "IT" happened:

50 miles away (80 km), in Flagler Beach, FL, last night 23:00 EDT a
huge fireball *crashed into the ocean* as dozens of startled people
watched.

N. 29°28'49"
W. 81°07'31"

No one knows what it is at the moment or if the picture is the correct
one shown at the link - but the picture is pretty!

The Coast Guard, police and Elvis' brother are still scratching their
head on this one and may resume the search tomorrow.

[meteorite-list] Florida Fireball raises some hell

2011-07-27 Thread Shawn Alan
Hello Listers,

The photo to me looks like fake your own meteor flare APP. Got to love smart
phones. I need an APP that detects meteorites and ill be in business.

If the witnesses claim they saw it hit the ocean, then would it have not have
fallen over the horizon? Since it was dark, and the dark flight would have been
darker. Would like to see footage though, I mean this is Florida and aren't
there security cameras avery 100 feet or so? Someone somewhere MUST have some
corroborating video footage, even if it was just a lens flare.
Regardless, it rests on the bottom of the ocean.
