Hello and good day Mark I got my coins today. Really cool . The sky is amazing. What a cool effect. I have not seen a sky like that before. Again, great job. The coins look great even though you did not get the buffalo. Thanks. Best to you, Griff Parker, Colorado, U.S.A. Those that preordered the coin will get an e-mail shortly. As this coin was my suggestion, and since I was able to use a Kansas meteorite, this one is my favorite in the series. The 2007 $5 Cook Islands Brenham Meteorite Coin measures 38.61 mm.and weighs 25 grams. The coin is .925 % silver and is partially palladium plated. The palladium, which cost more then silver, gives the sky a neat effect. The coin is self has a face value of $5.00 backed by the Government of the New Zealand, Cook Islands. As this is a commonwealth country, the back of the coin has Queen Elizabeth. If you did not preorder the coin and would like one, e-mail right away. Like the last couple coins I have been a part of, each one is certified by me, so if you want I can sign the certificate if you desire. Also, coin four is in the planning stages. I can't say much about that now but keep an eye out for more news. Re: [meteorite-list] Fw: Brenham Meteorite Coins
Thanks for your comments Griff. It was nice seeing you again in Denver. The sky is amazing. What a cool effect. I have not seen a sky like that before. The sky is palladium plated. Palladium is a precious metal that sells for around $360 an oz., up about $10 this last week. On the coin, if you have not seen one in hand yet, it gives the sky a sort of a metal flake look. I agree, it is a cool effect. I am now sold out, or within a couple from it. Out of the gate, this seems to be the most popular coin of the three. Of course it has a Kansas meteorite so that isn't really fair...;^) Clear Skies, Mark Bostick Kansas Meteorite Society Hello and good day Mark I got my coins today. Really cool . The sky is amazing. I can see from just the photo that the starfield makes for one beautiful hunk-o-metal. But for me, it just doesn't say Cook Island currency if it doesn't feature local deities Shark Babe and Mr. Dangles. Maybe you can squeeze them into the next one? http://webpages.charter.net/garrison6328/Cook1.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/garrison6328/Cook2.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/garrison6328/cookcoin.jpg __ Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
