Re: [meteorite-list] MLBLOOD?
Greetings listees, Surely someone on this list knows of a list member, meteorite collector, or even someone in which a Michael Blood metlist post had been forwarded to, from ROMANIA? This where the MBLOOD virus/worms are originating from. They are from a person in Romania who uses a IP of cb.ess.ro. That stands for Eastern Space Systems in or near Bucharest. If you know of such a person, could you please notify this individual that their PC is infected? It's the only way it's going to stop. Thanks and have a great weekend, Dave (who has calmed down now) meteoriteshow wrote: I experienced the same yesterday Frederic Beroud www.meteoriteshow.com IMCA #2491 - Original Message - From: "Ryan Darby" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "metlist" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 1:41 AM Subject: [meteorite-list] MLBLOOD? Re: [meteorite-list] MLBlood and Virus checkers
ALWIL Avast 4.0 should make the work, and it´s free for home users. You can also get Kerio -firewall (also free) from the same site; http://www.avast.com/index.html site to download; http://www.avast.com/eng/products/free_software/index.html system requirements; For a computer with 95/98/Windows Me: PC 486, 32 MB RAM, 50 MB of free hard disk space For a computer with Windows NT 4.0: PC 486, 24 MB RAM, 50 MB of free hard disk space, Service Pack 3 and higher installed For a computer with Windows 2000/XP: PC Pentium, 64 MB RAM (128 MB recommended), 50 MB of free hard disk space The program itself requires about 20 MB hard disk space, the rest is reserved for the virus recovery database file and its index (VRDB, also known as the "integrity database" from the previous version). A functional MS Internet Explorer 4 or higher is required for the program to work. This product cannot be installed on a server operating system (Windows NT/2000/2003 Server families). best, pekka s Bob King wrote: I've been following this thread with great interest and suspected some sort of virus at work.
