[meteorite-list] Merry Xmas, Cool Yule, and Happy Holidays from Galactic Stone & Ironworks

2020-12-25 Thread Michael Gilmer via Meteorite-list
Seasons greetings to all the meteorite aficionados out there. :)

2020 has been a raging tire-fire of a year. Hopefully 2021 is as good
as 2020 was bad.

Have a safe and happy holiday, be good to each other, and stay safe!

Re: [meteorite-list] Merry Xmas Need a Diamond Blade Rec.

2007-12-25 Thread dean bessey
Merry christmas to everybody also.
My opinion is pro slicer is the best. And after buying
many tons of NWAs I have gone through lots of saw
blades and pretty much tried them all. The worst I
ever tried was ADVANTAGE which sort of falls apart
as you watch it sitting on a shelf like a Nantan.
There is a model of MK that is about 50% better than
pro slicer but double the cost - making pro slicer
your best buy dollar for dollar.
My opinion anyway
Cheers
DEAN

[meteorite-list] merry xmas and a prosperous new year to the list

2006-12-23 Thread Bob WALKER
Hi Listoids

A very merry xmas and prosperous new year to you all - it has been a great
year and I am looking forward to an even better year !

I write to seek some advice re EMP - although I have a variety of meteorite
books I must admit to being a numpty on this aspect

I have 7 new finds from my home state of Queensland which will soon be
tested via EMP but aint too sure about fayalite numbers which apparently
give the unique fingerprint of each meteorite... so am seeking some info re
fayalite and fayalite numbers

Can somebody either point me to or send some artikles I can read

I'm also interested in some broader artikles on EMP with regard to
meteorites ie wot particularly is EMP looking for and how it differentiates
from say terrestrial rox

Thanx in anticipation
