NASA to Host Mars Curiosity Rover Teleconference Oct. 18 Jet Propulsion Laboratory October 16, 2012 PASADENA, Calif. -- NASA will host a media teleconference at noon PDT (3 p.m. EDT) on Thursday, Oct. 18, about the latest status of the Curiosity rover's mission to Mars. The Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover is 10 weeks into a two-year mission to investigate whether conditions may have been favorable for microbial life.
