[meteorite-list] Too many List Big Brothers!!!!
Is it just me, or is there anyone else on the list that feels as if we are all being watched by Big Brother. Geez, don`t use the wrong wording or heaven forbid list something that isn`t quite kosher to some list members on eBay. Sorry if I`m offending anyone, but give it a rest people!!! I agree Dave, I currently listed a Campo for sale on ebay see http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemitem=2195830561category=3239; rd=1 I used words such as Huge , museum quality, beautiful , etc. simply to entice potential buyers ... not deceive them. Yes they are all my opinion. One may consider it huge another may consider it small . It doesn't really matter , many will perceive the item differently. However I will never use the words average , marginal, kind of nicely shaped, Ive seen nicer, not much crust , teeny tiny , garage sale quality , etc. in any of my meteorite auctions. Hello List, In my defense, the IMCA states; The single purpose of this association is AUTHENTICITY. That is, to make certain that ALL our members adhere to the highest standards of meteorite identification, authenticity, and proper labeling practices. This is done via self monitoring. We, the membership, monitor each other's activities for accuracy, and it is every IMCA member's responsibility, and pleasure, to offer help and assistance to other members to assure this accuracy occurs proper labeling practices? When there is a ebay add saying something is huge I think that is improper labeling. If 144g' is huge for a GB, then what are these two, giants?
