Hello Sarah, I am saddened to hear of your loss. Being "stuck" as it were here in Savannah, I never got the chance to get to know Dave personally but knowing what little I did about him from his posts here to the list, emails we exchanged, the products he produced and his interest in things scientific, I think I would have called him a friend. His presence will be missed and you have my deepest condolences. -Walter --- Walter Branch, Ph.D. Branch Meteorites 322 Stephenson Ave., Suite B Savannah, GA 31405 USA www.branchmeteorites.com - Original Message - From: "MuseumStore/NatureSource" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Meteorite List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 2:19 PM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] A Passing On > Hello Sarah, > I was so saddened to hear of your loss. Hello Sarah, I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I look with amazement and appreciation every day at my Periodic Table in Earth and Sky. It was obviously a labor of love. Each day I will look at it and hope you are finding strength and doing as well as can be expected. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. Dear Sarah, I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Dave's passing away at such a young age. Shocked because, unfortunately I can relate. Some list members will remember that my wife suffered and luckily survived such a stroke in summer 1999. On Wednesday, 30 January 2002, your beloved husband wrote these words: > Sarah and I are people for whom study, dreaming, > application and effort lead to excellence, which > is the reward These words describe Dave best !!! Re: [meteorite-list] A Passing On
Sarah, I am saddened at the news of your husbands untimely death. The contributions made to this world by your and David's efforts have made a profound impact on our scientific community, especially among the younger generations. Your work will live on in the great posters you have created. Last Spring, one of my older daughters came home from college for a visit. When she saw one of you Periodic Table in Earth and Sky posters on the wall in my office, she said that if science had been that cool when she was in high school she would have enjoyed it more and paid more attention. My condolences to you Sarah, your collective family and friends. Forty eight years is not nearly enough time for a creative mind to share his thoughts and dreams. Hello Sharon, Sorry to hear about your loss. While I have never personally met David, we have e-mailed a couple times and he seemed quite helpful and friendly. The posters you two made are very nice. Thank you and David, for your interest in our hobby.
