Re: [meteorite-list] Rare Meteorite Books on eBay
Well worth visiting ET's room at the Tucson show...great guy and mixes a mean margarita. I seem to remember a huge Camel Donga there when I visited which I was very tempted by. Hope he's still around next year. The seller is Edwin Thompson, also known as "E.T." by some. He maintained or still maintains one of the biggest private collections of meteorite books on Earth, well, may be it *is* the biggest, but I am not sure. Honest collector and dealer! Yes, he first tried to sell the whole collection at once for a reasonable price, but now seems to sell the books on an individual basis. Well, some priced quite a bit on the high end, but then again you may talk to him... Mike Doesn't the USGS have copies of Shoemakers Geology of Meteorite Crater? I think it is like 10.00. Guess there were no takers, so the seller is listing items individually. Most of them are out of my price range, but I thought some other list members might find them interesting. BTW, which one of you outbid me on Shoemaker's Geology of Meteor Crater? ;) MikeG -- .
