I know that MT 3.17 works ok with Tranzeo's What about 3.24? What Tranzeo firmware is working. Currently I have all 3.6.7 and would like to go to 4.0.2 for the Config upload download ability but read some posts that you start to get the disassociate- reassociate issues with that version. It's in version 3.22 onwards. Works like a charm but doesn't offer SSL or TLS AFAIK. -- Regards Hilton -Original Message- From: mikrotik-boun...@mail.butchevans.com [mailto:mikrotik-boun...@mail.butchevans.com] On Behalf Of Ralph Been awaiting this for the longest time! I have some 3.24 or 3.27 but don't remember seeing it. Maybe I just gave up on looking. I think Auth is pretty much OK for everything I need. -Original Message- From: mikrotik-boun...@mail.butchevans.com [mailto:mikrotik-boun...@mail.butchevans.com] On Behalf Of Hilton Ralphs Sent: Tuesday, June 09, 2009 10:24 AM To: Mikrotik discussions Subject: Re: [Mikrotik] Email SMTP-Auth Nice to see in Ver 4! [Mikrotik] Mikrotik T1
We are looking to setup a tower with a T1 rather than a wireless backhaul. Unfortunately we can only bring the T1 in across the street. I was thinking a routerboard with a T1 card and a wireless card to shoot the signal across the street. Unfortunately I have no idea if the newer routerboards support T1 cards. I've seen pci cards for the 200 series. What do you guys think my best bet is for a routerboard with 2 T1 interfaces and a wireless card. (Preferably a mini-pci interface for the wireless card so I can use some of these CM9's I've accumulated.) --- Aaron, MCP, Network+, A+ Network Administrator suppo...@greatlakes.net Great Lakes Internet, Inc 112 N. Re: [Mikrotik] Mikrotik T1
Wow. Didn't realize they cost so much... IS works pretty well from the little experience I have. Still have the Rebel from training that loses it's ethernet port. *pokes Jeff B* On 6/9/09, Butch Evans but...@butchevans.com wrote: On Tue, 2009-06-09 at 18:02 -0400, Josh Luthman wrote: Might want to ask what ImageStream has for a solution. ImageStream does have a T1 router (about $679 for the router). You just need to put the wireless off the ethernet port and away you go. None of the current RB models have a PCI slot - http://routerboard.com/comparison.html You'll need to use an x86 board for MikroTik (and you can use a minipci board that fits in another PCI slot too). First thing is that any T1 card supported by MT will be very expensive and will not offer any benefit over an ImageStream. In fact, the IS router will be a benefit over the MT supported card. Last time I checked, the only supported single T1 card for MT was around $1200, meaning you could buy an IS router AND a spare for the same money. -- * Butch Evans * Professional Network Consultation* * http://www.butchevans.com/* Network Engineering * * http://www.wispa.org/ * WISPA Board Member * * http://blog.butchevans.com/ * Wired or Wireless Networks * ___ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS -- Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 When you have eliminated the impossible, that which remains, however improbable, must be the truth. --- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ___ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS
