Hi Lennard,

Glad to know of another OSS neighbour in Singapore.

It should be okay for you to mirror from us.

Cheers,

 Dear eznetsols admin,

Hi, i am your singapore open source neighbour.

Recently my pacnet IDC got connectivity problems while rsyncing to
www.apache.org::dist, thus updating web site unacceptably slow.

I wish to inform you that I will do a wget mirroring of your apache.org
mirror every night (intentionally as traffic volumes are low). The bandwidth
utilisation (local S-one) can be capped to a reasonable if you wish -
 currently it averages 15mbps.

Do you all have any objections?

 Thank You

Yeap, here is one from Singapore:

rsync.oss.eznetsols.org::apache-dist

Rsync access has been available for quite some time and currently there
is no limit on the number of rsync users.

Yes, I think that now that we have better quality control on mirrors,
it
is time to start thinking about pushing some of the rdist load off of
 www.apache.org.

I'd suggest that we could use perhaps up to a half-dozen rdist-capable
mirrors. Maybe one or two in each of Europe, Asia, and North America.
These would need to be VERY reliable sites, since if they went out of
date
they would take out all their child-mirrors as well.

 Any volunteers?

 Joshua.
