Perhaps you send wrong signal.
AFAIR, poptop react on SIGUSR1, SIGUSR2. So, see manual page for pptpd.

Maybe you should tell us what happened and what you were expecting.
Your "bug report" is too vague to be useful. Also, a lot of work is
being done on duids, so things are improving all the time.

I suppose that the installer can't tell if a sd root disk is swappable
or not, but certainly it should know that wd is not - right? - or maybe
my premise is off, aren't DUIDs only useful for jump drives?

Works like a champ for me on Youtube and a Intel ULV Core2 processor running
-current. The video performance on the Intel DRM x3100 chipset isn't fluid
on anything 720p, but is fine in SD. Great find that will make the
significant other happy to watch cat and fail videos again.

hi.

is there a convenient way to display CPU cache statistics in openbsd?
like the amount of L1/L2 hits/misses? there's OProfile for linux, Vtune
for Linux/Windows, cachekit for Solaris, but what's available for the
best OS out there?

sure i could read the intel manuals on accessing the special
performance registers to find out. but time is limited. i've searched
manpages and on the web without any "cache hits" so to speak.

Seems to be a GNU CVS vs OpenCVS issue. anoncvs.openbsd.org is
running GNU CVS, while anoncvs.usa.openbsd.org is running OpenCVS.
(Apparently cvs has a "version" command that can tell you this...)

Here (on amd64) only blip.tv works perfectly. Youtube starts playing randomly
and even when it does it plays poorly, I see a lot of framedrops even though
cpu usage isn't even high. None of the Finnish flash video sites I tried
worked but I guess that could be expected.

Who is "we"? From the looks of your "Gravatar", "we" is probably your group of
13-year-olds.

Well, it turns out I was a bit optimistic and was reading diffs
being shown around as having been committed. Support for booting
from a softraid volume is being actively worked on but has not
been committed yet. :-).

Can you break the install process as I did in the HOWTO and continue forward
with a full softraid setup? I wrote the HOWTO after struggling for a few
evenings to get the setup to work seamlessly. Maybe the documentation was
over my head, but I have had no issues in countless other OS doing WDE.
Though with the speed at which softraid and WDE is moving with OpenBSD, my
guide is becoming very antiquated in just a few months.

Here is the CVS commit for softraid boot if anyone else looking:
