As I said Jona offlist, yes, I understand that behavior. My line is
prepended and then anything
else goes after it.

Still, what I do not understand is why two nameserver entries appear
on my resolv.conf, if I have never requested them.

I did not say anything off list.

fresh Thinkpad x220 - possibly new iwn variant

My new employer handed me a fresh Thinkpad x220 for my day-to-day needs,
nice little number but the iwn

(which is a bit temperamental under recent linuxes too) is refusing to
play nice with OpenBSD (specifically the 17 Aug amd64 snapshot). I
imagine it's another firmware iteration that's needed, but here's a

Re: fresh Thinkpad x220 - possibly new iwn variant

2011-08-27 Thread Ryan McBride
You and anyone else with an x220 want to be running -current, not the
Aug 17 snapshot. Do a CVS checkout and make build, it shouldn't take
long, especially with a nice SSD like that.

(I don't know that it will fix this specific problem - I don't have one
- but it will definately help other things)

kaizen fetch method in "make install clean" with ports?

2011-08-27 Thread Marcus
OpenBSD 5.0 beta/current
add some ports through command "make install clean"

consider this situation:
>>fetch http://*.gnu.*.abc.tar.gz #fetch abc.tar.gz
0%| | -stalled-
#wait for a long long time, now I press "ctrl + c" because download is
very slow or stalled.
http fetch aborted

>>fetch http://*.de.*.abc.tar.gz #system auto fetch abc.tar.gz from another
>>mirror,
when download completed, abc.tar.gz will be auto deleted, now "make
progress" aborted.

-
what I want:
1. when press one time "ctrl +c" or some key, slow/stalled website
download will aborted,
fetch same source file from another mirror.
2. when "fetch"download completed from mirror, the make will continued
except Press "ctrl + c" twice/ or some key.
