Tommy, dear, I am female.

And generally, my apologies for the disclaimer, we work mostly in LE, and are
required by legal to put it at the end of emails, as most of you will know. I
personally do not see the point but as we deal with multi-national companies
that do the same it has become somewhat of a standard. I should have removed it
before sending.

Cheers
Nan

An OpenBSD Consumer Gateway Launch

2021-06-11 Thread fern . tjeers
Hi,

I am Nan Mel, the marketing director of Aiyja and Etheria group of companies,
nice to meet you all. All of us in the company would like to say a big thank
you!

We have launched Ayos HCS, a consumer gateway & Server, based on OpenBSD!, and
we could not have done it without you. So a huge thank you to you, the OpenBSD
developers, and those that support this group, you are all amazing, keeping
Unix alive in such a form, so we could build on top of it.

It is the first of its kind of this type of products we believe. So we use a
lot of native capabilities such as the firewall that feels nostalgic (many of
us are ex-sun). We have added lots of unique features like Home Anywhere,
allowing a consumer to VPN back into their home, without open ports or port
forwards. Secure IoT, finally in a consumer product, securing not only in VTEP
& IP layers but other areas. And Home cloud using our own flavours with some
NextCloud Hub etc …. It has over 670 features now and we are still, and will
forever, build more.

We even have a fully fledged middleware, with an API bridge, integrated ….. if
only the consumers knew what that was, and how lucky they are. But again we
think this is a first for a consumer gateway. Plus a lot of privacy features
like a web proxy, malware and ransomware filters, the things the consumer could
not really do for themselves, but are easy for us, and this group.

We know how under appreciated, and under paid, companies tend to be towards
your group. We would like to officially state if we do well we will be donating
regularly into OpenBSD. We would like to support you as much as we can. We will
also be out-sourcing some coding to those that wish it towards the end fo the
year. As we need specific improvements like VMD enhancements to over 2 threads.

We know most of you could probably build much of this yourselves, so we are not
expecting sales from this group, we are just saying thank you and announcing
what seems to us a unique OpenBSD consumer product, that you might enjoy
hearing about. We originally made it for ourselves and friends as it was a huge
gap in our racks, but then we thought, some consumers might understand enough
to buy it.

Note; we are a small European company (ies), so only sell in the EU, for now.
Sorry for those outside but maybe you have a friend.
