Firefox 18 library link error

2013-03-03 Thread James Griffin
Hi

I did a fresh install of the latest snapshot Feb 27. Installed Firefox
18 package. When it loads, I get an error I do not understand:

firefox:/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.55.0: /usr/local/lib/libestdc++.so.14.0 :
WARNING: symbol(_ZN11__gnu_debug17_S_debug_messagesE) size mismatch,
relink your program

Could someone explain what this means and help me to fix it. Firefox
does appear to function normally.

I'm using the i386 platform; was previously using the amd64 platform on
the same machine and did not get this error message then - not that i'm
assuming it's related.

dmesg below:

That one is totally innocuous. It's just because the debug messages in
those libraries are not exactly the same size, it doesn't really matter.

Ok, cheers Mark.
