How about fetchmail? (with procmail / maildrop / whatever)

poll mailserver protocol imap service 993:
username "mcbride" there has password "mekmitasdigoat" is mcbride here 
fetchall ssl mda "/usr/local/bin/procmail -d %T"

>From the fetchmail man page :
   -m  | --mda 
  (Keyword: mda) You can force mail to be  passed  to
  an  MDA directly (rather than forwarded to port 25)
  with the --mda or -m option.
