OT: requesting updates to OpenBSD Server Compatibility List
As some of you know, there is a hardware compatibility list at http://www.armorlogic.com/oscl which provides information about major/stock hardware and OpenBSD compatibility. Some of the previously tested configuration are badly out-of-date or are misinformative. Especially the configurations that didn't work a couple of releases ago. They probably work just fine know, but it would be nice if could get confirmation. So please, have a look at the list and send directly to me or to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Especially for the configuration listed with "partial" support. New configurations and updates to the already working ones are also very welcome. Thanks.
hardware: updates to OpenBSD server compatibility list
Just wanted to let you know that OpenBSD server compatibility list has recently been updated with our 3.9-stable (and some -current) test results on a couple of standard servers. Boxes updated with 3.9 test results include: - IBM xServer 336 (new entry) - IBM eServer 326m - Sun x2100 - Dell SC1425 I encourage people to send in test results for the servers listed (or any other stock server from the listed vendors) so we can share with all the others. Detailed information: http://www.armorlogic.com/oscl/

Especially the HP hardware, since most of the problems were caused by missing PCI bridges that should be fixed now. As soon as I get my 3.9 CDs from Wim, we'll retest some of the boxes.

That is totally out of date for 3.9, everything except the x4200 should be fine.

This is known. There is also the OpenBSD Metastore <http://www.openbsdmetastore.com/> which does not appear to be all that active lately... Joachim
Server Compatibility List
I don't know if this has been posted before, but I found a nice openbsd server compatibility list: "To ensure availability of appropriate server hardware platforms for Profense, Armorlogic is testing new server models from major manufacturers on an ongoing basis. It is our goal to provide our customers with server hardware platforms that are easily available in major parts of the world. Therefore, we only test/support standard and pre-configured server hardware from HP, Dell, IBM, Sun and Fujitsu-Siemens." http://www.armorlogic.com/openbsd_information_server_compatibility_list.html This list gave the the information I needed to go ahead and order the server for my shiny new 3.9 CDs. -- Will
