Re: [mkgmap-dev] Roundabouts causes crashing devices
I think that was solved later, however those issues proof it would be better not use more routable lines on top of each other. With some workarounds I have fixed it mostly I hope, but it would be better to use transparent route lines. Which means rebuilding my whole line style and typ file from scratch... Thank you for your reply. Good to know the newer NT can't be read. > Op 10 jul. 2016 om 14:50 heeft Gerd Petermann >het volgende geschreven: > > Hi Jarno, > > > the source contains routines to read the img file, but I have no idea > how much work it would be to convert that information into OSM format. > > Note also that mkgmap cannot read the newer NT format. > > > Gerd > > Von: mkgmap-dev im Auftrag von Jarno > Le Conté > Gesendet: Sonntag, 10. Re: [mkgmap-dev] Roundabouts causes crashing devices
Hi Minko, I#m not completly sure, but I remember, there were long time ago problems with 2 routable lines on same position. So in my map I changed all routeable lines to transparent and used for showing highways etc. non-routable lines. But maybe this particular problem was solved later. Re: [mkgmap-dev] Can mkgmap be used to read back in IMG files?
Hi Jarno, the source contains routines to read the img file, but I have no idea how much work it would be to convert that information into OSM format. Note also that mkgmap cannot read the newer NT format. Gerd Von: mkgmap-devim Auftrag von Jarno Le Conté Gesendet: Sonntag, 10. Hi, I'm wondering if mkgmap can be used the other way around, given an IMG file, extract the road network from it and perform routing operations? Looking at the code it seems to be a full implementation of the IMG filesystem which includes both reading and writing. Is this true? The main thing I want to know: Can I extract the road network (and routing information) from a Garmin IMG file, and use it in an OSM routing engine for example? [mkgmap-dev] Can mkgmap be used to read back in IMG files?
Hi, I'm wondering if mkgmap can be used the other way around, given an IMG file, extract the road network from it and perform routing operations? Looking at the code it seems to be a full implementation of the IMG filesystem which includes both reading and writing. Is this true? The main thing I want to know: Can I extract the road network (and routing information) from a Garmin IMG file, and use it in an OSM routing engine for example?
