Re: [mkgmap-dev] mkgmap index rev. 1809
Hello Thanks for the results of your testing. One thing though, I see you are using the --lower-case option. Could you please try with out this option. It really shouldn't be used and is only there to show that it doesn't work! No real working map that I know of uses lower case inside the map. I did have one idea though, the mdx section is bound to need sorting. Of the ones that you sent me the one marked 'working' looked bad to me and had extra zero entry at the end. The 'bad' one looked fine. On the off chance that they were mis-labelled I've put in code to detect zero entries and throw an error. ..Steve ___ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev

I have updated my tests with index_branch r1810 and these are the results: 1 tile map 2 tiles map 9 tiles map *POI search* Yes Yes Yes *Cities* Accented characters Yes Yes Yes Existing city Yes Yes Yes (1) Existing region Yes Yes Yes Existing country Yes Yes Yes Combinations of city, region, country Yes Yes Yes *Streets* Existing street+city Yes Yes Yes (2) Non existing street+city Yes Yes Yes (2) Only street Yes Yes Yes (2) *Send to device * Yes Yes Yes (1) All places within a given tile are assigned the same (wrong) country, e.g: is_in=Soria, Castilla y León, Spain, Europe name=Abion place=village Search city Abion -> Abion, CASTILLA Y LEÓN, BASQUE COUNTRY (2) Missing all streets beginning by "Calle" before "Calle Real ..." Occurrences of "Calle ": 1 tile: 4694 2 tiles: 4694+15206=19900 Previous round of tests 2 tiles map had the same problem with number of "Calle "=47770 Apart from search related issues, in the 9-tiles map routing is broken and also all tiles touching the sea are flooded. I have tried different combinations of options, but always the same result. ___ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev ___ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev

BTW list of finished map size: 1809: 76.8MB 1810: 77.0MB 1811: 76.3MB kinda strange that 1811 lead to mapsize decrease (mapsize as of taking the size of the .exe installer). >> >> Is anyone else having problems with crashes in the latest index >> branch version? >> >> ..Steve ___ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev
