Android One Phones clame to provide you the Pure Android Experience with minimum customization's which result in better accessibility also. 2. Since Google is controlling the Hardware specifications also for these phones, you can expect better performance on such phones compared to other phones available with similar price tag. 3. Even if you get some better Android phone in terms of Hardware specifications on a similar price, receiving updates is by no means guaranteed on those phones whereas, Android One Phones are sure to get the updates, at least the next Android Version which is currently roomered to be Android L. 4. By late December, Google is supposed to roll out more Android One Phone with more partners joining in and we can expect phones with better hardware and a slight rise in the prise too but the cost will be less compared to other Android phones and hardware will be more better. Conclusion: If you are planning to get an Android phone within the price tag of 6 to 8K, then give first thoughts to Android One phones before any other phone even if that phone runns the latest OS and has better hardware spects. Further, if buying phone at this stage is not a compultion, then wait till December and you might expect some really cool stuff. [Mobile.AI] Reading PDF documents possible in android with @voice aloud reader
Hi, I have today tested an app which can facilitate reading of different types of files including PDF. the app is called @voice aloud reader and is free. After installing this app, you can press the share button from any window including adobe reader, and click on @voice aloud reader and the file will be read aloud. The best part is that the web view used in the app is totally accessible with talkback and you can use swipe gestures to read and nevigate the document. First I opened a pdf document in the adobe reader app, then clicked the share button and then selected @voice aloud reader and the app window opens. Re: [Mobile.AI] Reading PDF documents possible in android with @voice aloud reader
Hi Aaruni, I am using the ad free version of the app for last two months. this is really great.the best feature of the app is that it automatically detects the language and switches the relevant TTS to read aloud. secondly, we can share web pages from firefox and articles from other apps such as The Hindu newspaper app. we can also navigate in a document with previous/next buttons. but, these buttons moves us one sentence backward or forward. non-talkback users can scroll the document and double tap on a particular place to start reading aloud. but this jesture is not compitable with TB. I've written to the developers in this respect. I expect the same on your part.
