Subject: Re: [Mobile.AI] Moto g2 has got android l

hi all!
for all who have not got android 5.0.2 on there moto g 2014 also known
as moto g22 i have a fantastic news for you!
do the following to get the official update.
this zip is a official zip which i captured from my phone when i was
downloading the ota update from motorola.
no modifications have done to this zip.
after installing you will not voied your worenty and you will get any
more updates when ever motorola has released it.
so u can say that this a zip is a official motorola zip.
ok so now download the zip from this link.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2xGcWtcjy-CNzBUSHNwc0gySlk/preview
and this is how you will install it.
no need of sighted help.
things required:
you should be on stock android 4.4.4 supplied by motorola.
you should not root or unlock the bootloader or install any custem
recovery if you have done anything then revert back to stock.
now this the instructions.
1. let the zip download fully.
2. now connect your phone to pc and paste the zip in the root of your sd card.
by root i mean dont paste it inside any folder in your sd card just
open your sd card and paste it there.
3. now safely remove your phone from your pc.
4. now just restart your phone once normally so that minimum apps are
running and the phone has full access to your sd card.
5. most importent you should have atlist 70 to 80 percent of your
battery charged.
please do not try this when your phone is connected to a charger or to your pc
6. now go to settings about phone system updates and check for updates
just click on install now and follow the process.
once talkback says shutting down keep your phone away from you and
dont touch it.
come back and after 30 to 45 minutes and you should be on android 5.0.2!
enjoy!

Re: [Mobile.AI] Moto g2 has got android l

2015-01-16 Thread Austin Pinto
the new update is good.
web views are 100% and i mean real 100% fixed.
so now i dont need to depend on laptop to chk emails and other web
related things.
2. if you are recording with your phone or sometimes when talkback
used to speek when u keep your finger on something there would be a
gap between when u keep your finger and when talkback would speak this
was caused cause of small buffer size this is fixed.
3. ram management is fantastic on android 4.4.4 with 3 or 4 apps open
at the same time i would get 500 to 450mb free ram but now it gos upto
650 to 700.
4. audio has improved talkback is become nice and loud
5. battery life has improved.
6. the only bug is that its not easy to pick hrs and minutes when
setting alarms with talkback but that will be fixed.
7. typing is now become more stable.
regarding update to micromax a1 no anouncement with the ceo now there
is a big problem although as android 1 is a google project but
micromax should make its preinstalled apps ready for android l and now
as they have started another company i dont know when they will give
updates spice is going to start role out of android 5.0.2 tonight but
there also some people have got and most have not got looks like this
is a test update

Re: [Mobile.AI] Moto g2 has got android l

2015-01-16 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
The important is to know whether your phone is first gen or second
generation. First gen moto g is known as 2013 edition while second
generation moto g is known as 2014 edition. 2013 or first gen moto is
of 4.5 inches screen size and its camera is of 5mp while moto g 2014
or second edition is of 5.0 inches screen size and have 8mp camera.
One more difference 2013[first gen] edition don't have front facing
speekers while 2014[second gen] has front facing sterio speekers. I
hope its clear now

ok this is it.
this is only for 2013.
instructions for installing android 5.0.2 on moto g 2013.
1. before install.
check the following.
1. uninstall all apps that need root access if u dont it may kill your
phones battery faster after upgrade. now install instructions.
1. download the zip file from link given.
2. now without renaming or without opening the zip file paste it in
the root of your sd card. and internal storage 3. if doesnt exist make
a folder called cash on your sd card and internal storage and paste
the same zip file there also. 4. now safely remove your phone from
your pc and restart your phone normally just so that the phone has
full mount access on your sd card. 5. go to settings about phone and
check for system updates.
u will get a option to install updates.
just install it.
now your phone will under go the following process.
1. md5 checksum match.
2. reboot installing system update.
3. reboot applying update.
4. reboot optimising apps
5. finishing first boot.
this entire process will take 30 to 40 minutes aprox depending on how
many apps you have installed. just hit the install butten and dont
touch it talkback will come up automatically. optional.
you may want to format your phone just so that u can start clean.
but this is not required.
how ever i did format my moto g2 and saw the speed go more faster
there is no chance to brick your device.
for more accessability upgrade to the latest talk back beta.
