You can remove the Icons by doing following steps:
Keep your focus which icon you want to remove
Then double tap and hold, you will hear sound 
Without lifting the finger drag your finger top of the screen where speaker
located
Then lift your finger.

I have installed B DOT screen guard on my micromax canvas A1 and it has really 
made me comfortable.
I can now dare use my android phone much more confidently than before.

Though not needed by the adventurous and experts among us, nonetheless, I think 
the product is definitely a value addition to those of us who feel a little  
out of sorts with new technology

Essentially it is a screen guard with dots on strategic places.
