to delete any dialed digit, you must press backspace key located just
above the number 3.
as far as multypul keypresses are concerned, then make sure that you
are just touching the numbers, not tapping them.
if you are doing the same, and issue still persist, then you must try
changing the touch and hold delay settings under accessibility menu.
this might help.
