Hi sir, Stock is unmodified virsion of android. where customised is generally found in all the phones of samsung and sony which is customised according to their needs. stock is better because it is designed after keeping accessibility in mind but customisations are not made while looking towards accessibility. regards On 1/12/13, padmanabham padmanabam.mu...@gmail.com wrote: what is the diference bitwen stoc and customise? sorry for my ignorance. - Original Message - From: Bhavesh charmingbhav...@gmail.com To: Dedicated AccessIndia list for discussing accessibility of mobile deviceslike phones and Tabs set up on November 15 2012. mobile.accessindia@accessindia.org.in Sent: Saturday, January 12, 2013 11:37 AM Subject: Re: [Mobile.AI] Views on Samsung Galaxy Music Duos S6012 How does one know, whether the phone has stoc android or customised? Hi Aruni, Yes they are, if you enable touch and explore option. one thing though, that i have seen a little inconsistency in announcing the icons. some times it will, and some times it wouldn't. i think that's the issue which is with talkback, which is not yet been resolved, even in the latest update. Re: [Mobile.AI] Views on Samsung Galaxy Music Duos S6012
Hello Bhavesh, I guess if a phone has stock android then, it is mentioned in it's specifications. Ishita, stock android means the unmodified virsion of android which we find in some tabs and nexis series. samsung phones may have some unlabeled screans but stock android doesn't have any one of them. talk back can work more efficiently in karbon as compared to samsung galaxi chat. because stock android is not customised. The need for stock android is more felt by advance android users. Basic users may not feel any inaccisibility in galaxy chat as well. It depends on you. if you just want to use your phone for basic functions then, go with galaxi chat because typing is much easier. But if you are a teck geek type of person who loves to play with new softwares and other new functions then, go with stock android. regards On 1/12/13, ishita kapoor ishitakapoor...@gmail.com wrote: what does mean by stock android ? how does it matter from accessibility point of view? why are you asking to go with carbon a15 when samsung chatt has qwerty keypad. please try to answer these question if possible. If typing is main concern then, go with galaxy chat. you may practice for typing on it's touch screen as well. and in near future there are many apps about to come which can take dictations from indians as well. so go with galaxy I recommended karbon because I thought u want to do a lot of expariments.even now we have an app called samsung voice our one fello uses it in his galaxy s3to search contact and a fiew other things. But I am sure that it will surely improve over the period of time. regards On 1/12/13, ishita kapoor ishitakapoor...@gmail.com wrote: sir i want to use, call, sms, internet, nseindia, gmail, facebook, youtube and gps navigation. i am afraid that i will not be able to type well won touch screen phone. thats why i am confused.
