everyone- first of all, to anyone who considers what i am about to say as irrational/silly/uncalled for...i would be happy to let you take over the tape by yourself. now, the news...i have done a lot of thinking/worrying/inquiring in the past week and i have come to a sad conclusion. i have decided to put my work on the tape on hold until i learn the truth about whether or not the rape charges against isaac are false. i know the money lies on all of this shit just being a fleeting rumor...but i am not about to put hours of work into paying tribute to modest mouse if the rumors are true. i am deeply sorry, but these are my honest feelings. so...either the rumor gets cleared up, or someone else takes over. its up to the people with the knowledge. *carrie

so i just got email from a very very close friend of the murder city devils and this is what he says about the whole disenchantment between MM and MCD: All I can say, and this is not any sort of absolute truth is that yes, The Murder City Devils have disassociated themselves from modest mouse because of actions that members of that band have done. As to the extent of this action or the length of the disassociation, I can not say. so it could be ANYTHING here folks. russ

Oh, cmon. This is not true, it would be all over the place if it was. Have a little faith. Whoever started this rumor should have kept their big mouth shut. The future will tell us if it's really true, but until then nothing has changed, nobody's been convicted of anything. r

Gabe from the murder city devils? the roadie who is featured in the liner notes of empty bottles broken hearts, who attended every show of theirs since at least november 5th when i saw them and runs the official sub pop murder city devils site. think Gabe would lie like that?
