Re: [MMouse]: For a change of music (fwd)
try antartica, red house painters, sam prekop (and the sea and cake), ida, pedro the lion, very secretary, low, nuzzle, the lucksmiths, duster, tristeza, the lapse, seam, ranier maria, silver scooter, franklin, karate, american football, l'altra, kind of like spitting, macha, neutral milk hotel, the make up,...these are all good bands that i highly recommend...although i guess a few of them aren't *exactly* like elliot smith and belle and sebastian...but they're all still good. well, i think so at least :) man, does anyone else think that 'the city' by the dismemberment plan is the fucking awesomest some ever while the rest of their stuff kinda isn't? i love that song. sigh. the saddest song ever though is 'katy song' by the red house painters...i'm sorry, but it doesn't get much sadder than that. i get droopy and teary-eyed whenever i hear it. then again, i just broke up with my boyfriend, so...eh. life sucks. jenny :( > > > > >I'm looking for a new addition to my music lineup, and I thought > >y'all might be rather helpful. > > > >Any suggestions for something in the vein of Belle & Sebastian, > >Joseph Arthur, and Elliott Smith (who was great at the BotH in > >San Francisco wednesday night)? > > > >...over and out... > > > > Jay.. > __ > Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com > >

[MMouse]: MM/BtS Denver Show?
Mousers, need some help here! Heard on good authority that there will be one of those joint Modest Mouse/Built to Spill shows in Denver May 3 or thereabouts, but none of the usual NIPP/Twist&Shout/ticketweb/Ticket Bastard sources seem to know anything about this? Anyone got solid info? Loring Wirbel Monument, Colo. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[MMouse]: one line band reviews
this idea seems like a lot of fun... i was thinking, and i came up with an idea. (insert band name here)!!!---we're not van halen .. the beauty of this isit works for almost everyone, well, except van halen and maybe bill callahan, cause nobody in their right mind could ever confuse bill c. for eddie or alex. feel free to (golden) shower me with praise not quite as punk as you, matt lee roth
[MMouse]: in general
i've been on this list for about a year now and still have yet to post so ::here it is, my first post. :: ::has anyone seen the movie tail lights fade, well my friend saw and said that ::there were two mouse songs at the end of the movie and i didn't believe him. : ::I made him fast forward the movie (since i didn't want to watch cause it has ::denise richards) and low and behold they played heart cooks brain and ::bankrupt on selling. I find it very interesting and I expect that now that ::the mouse is so popular they will begin to pop up in other movies. :: ::I was also wondering if anyone else has heard the mouse on the radio. I do ::an indie rock show on the college radio station and have been playing the ::mouse for about a year now and all of a sudden they play neverending math ::equation and all nite diner about twice an hour. It's crazy. :: ::I'll probably put a picture up on russ's page soon cause russ is a cool guy ::and his boots collection is awesome. :: ::esta haciendo la coocaracha, ::jacob
