I hate to say it, but there were many points during Modest Mouse's set when I was rather disappointed. Not in the band, but in the crowd. Anyone who was up fron will know what I am talking about. There was probably about five times during MM that fights almost broke out. I don't know what it was, I think it was mostly to do with the moshing that was going on. I am all for people being in to the music, dancing ,etc. However, when people are almost brawling it just brings down the whole show. Modest Mouse is my favorite band, but I seriously felt like leaving early just so I didn't have to deal with all that aggressive male bullshit. Maybe it because this was a college show (i.e. too many jocks), because I don't remember seeing this kind of crap any other mm show. Ok, on a much happier note, 764-HERO was sooo amazing. apparently its modest mouse mania at K today ...anyway when i was there this morning trying to get a copy that colin was "supposed" to leave for me, i was told that they had only recieved 30 copies of the e.p. but they will be getting 107 more later this week or sometime next week(something like that) and that the copies that they do have are going very fast (i.e.its modest mouse mania). which is probably why the receptionist guy grant couldnt find a copy for me. but all is good now, he brought me a copy to my work. those k people are so nice. i must say that this ep is way better than i thought it was going to be, i am a very happy girl today...plus i met calvin johnson, ok maybe he just said hi to me, but that counts as meeting someone doesent it??? _ Do You Yahoo!? Can somebody give me directions to the UW show tomorrow night, I am coming from Olympia, and I have no idea how to get to the Hub. Also, does anybody know where to get tickets to the show outside of seattle i.e. olympia.
