[MMouse]: Ayn Rand

2000-08-16 Thread Romas Kudirka

Who ever mentioned the Fountainhead is it anything similar to atlas
shrugged. I am in the middle of Atlas Shrugged, which i might say is
quite an anvil of a book, but it is really interesting. I don't want to
say anything about it and ruin it for anyone else, and to those of you who
have don't ruin it for me, but it is a definitely a book worth reading.

Anyone have any other book suggestions?

2000-06-06 Thread Romas Kudirka

I am going to the MM show in SD tomorrow.

I will be the big guy with some sort of facial hair, it is getting hot and
am debating on shaving my beard or not.

Don't know what I'll be wearing.

Say hi if you feel like it.

[MMouse]: Tshirt

2000-04-20 Thread Romas Kudirka

I thought a cool design for a MM shirt would be a black shirt with the
milky way galaxy on it and said dark center of the universe. I am sure
you've all seen the shirt that has the galaxy on it and says "you are
here." Well that is what i was think of. I think it would be cool in a
retro nerd sort of way.

And as a side note, I am flying out to chicago from san diego to see the
mouse at the metro. I may be rollin solo to the show so I just wanted to
see if people were still tossin around the idea of meeting before the show
somewhere and what is some cool stuff to do in the city during the day as
far as museums, art, cool places to take photos, and most importantly
record stores.

you are there and I am here how did we get lost inbetween.

[MMouse]: High fidelity

2000-04-03 Thread Romas Kudirka

Is high fidelity based on the book or is it something else?

And if it is how true to the book is it because the book is
incredibibible.

[MMouse]: Les Savy Fas

2000-03-22 Thread Romas Kudirka

Les Savy Fav are awesome they have a great stage presence. Especially the
lead singer. I saw them play in San Diego a few weeks ago, with Love as
Laughter and Tristeza. LSF are I guess sort of Fugazi-ish, my sister
describes them as sort of angry teenage boy music, but I disagree. I love
the two albums I've got, 3/5 and The Cat and the Cobra. LSF are most
definitely a high energy band with some interesting theatrics thanks to
the singer. So, I bet the MM set following will also be pretty cool. To
those of you going, I am very jealous. And if anyone wants to record the
show and send me a copy I would be in your debt.

[MMouse]: !!!

2000-02-09 Thread Romas Kudirka

I know that in some of the African languages of the kalahari desert the
people use varying click sounds. Anthropologists have used symbols to
denote these different sounds so they can write what they are saying, cuz
to my knowledge they do not have a written language. The main tribe that
uses this is the Dobe !Kung, the ! is a loud click sound that is made
kinda by snapping your tounge from the roof of your mouth to the bottom.
Its a hard sound to describe but I am sure you all did it as kids and your
parents told you to settle down.

So it maybe that !!! is pronounced click, click, click.

Has anyone who preorder the MM singles comp not gotten it yet?

I preordered it in early December and it has been out for a while. I have
been charged for it and am still waiting. Has this happened to anyone
else?

[MMouse]: Morrissey

2000-01-30 Thread Romas Kudirka

Mr. Morissey has always charged a lot for tickets to his shows. I saw him
play at UCLA about 8 years ago, it was the show were there was a riot
afterwards. Tickets were $35 and he played for only 15 min (although
there were extenuating circumstances which caused this). However, I
talked to someone who worked for the show and he told me that Morissey was
only slated to play for something like 30-45 min!!

I lost a lot of respect for that guy after that show.
