[MMouse]: mm in seattle, my story

2000-06-18 Thread VegGrrrrl

well just got back (to portland) from seattle for the show (friday night's).
i thought they were really awesome. a little tired however. i was right in
front of isaac pressed up against the stage (i have the bruises on my stomach
to prove it) the whole time and i had this wwf shirt that said "macho man" on
and i was going to offer it to isaac to wear because his shirt was so soaked
through with sweat that i could see his tattoos through it, but i figured he
wouldn't have taken it cuz he didn't seem to want to talk to people. i did
get him to give me one of his ice cold bottles of water and i chugged a
little and then passed in into the dehydrated crowd.
after they finished their set and walked off i nabbed isaac's setlist but
this bouncer made me put it back. and this guy next to me was kind of
fighting me for it. but then after their encore i grabbed it again. they
didn't even really follow the setlist though b/c there were a few songs they
didn't even play.
anyways, good time i thought. oh and if you were that really cute boy with
a white button up shirt on the left side of the stage (where eric was), um,
hi. ;)
  anyways, there's my lowdown. love,

ok, so here's my opinion, cuz i know you all want to hear it. i subscribed to
this list because i like modest mousealot. however i also did it with the
knowledge that most modest mouse fans like other music, and so i figured i
could meet some of those people (sort of) and be enlightened on some of their
tastes in music, and on occasion other topics. i personally am not
interested in every post that i get from this list, but for the most part its
worth digging through my mail when i find someone talking about a new band to
check out or what not. bottom line: lists get off topic. its gonna happen.
and i hate lists where every time someone says something even slightly off
topic, a moderator has to come in and say "hey guys, email each other
privately" or "this is not on topic." i will reiterate, lists get off topic.
deal with it or unsubscribe.
p.s. i just read the coolest line ever in keep the aspidistra flying by
george orwell.
it goes "forced from the outside, the letter flap lifted, and with
an effort, like a heron regurgitating a flatfish, vomited a bunch of letters
on to the mat." well i thought it was cool. sorry, that was "off topic"

legs were trembling. im not trying to brag, i just want anyone who gets a
chance to see them to definitely make the most of that chance. also i talked
to the singer after the show and he said that their new album will be in
stores in april but that you can already get it on the saddle creek website.
does anyone have it yet. if so, care to comment? im sure its wonderful.
also i talked to this girl at the show and she said that she's good friends
with isaac and that she has the new cd and that its amazing. she also said
that mm made sure with epic that they would always be able to maintain their
own artistic integrity and have a say in everything that went on. hope this
is true. i don't doubt the mouse.
