is it just me, or does the singer of At the
Drive-In sound exactly like the singer of Rage? I mean wont the rage fans
get confused when he starts talking and they all think its Zach from Rage?
Hell, at "this aint no picnic" evenI had to look twice to make sure
there wasnt some kind of "guest appearence" by Zach or something. hmm. I
mean not as much when he sings (if you can call it that) but when he talks about
matchbooks (?) or whatever between songs.. i dunno... they kinda bothered
me,.. they get points for the afro's though. :)

$50 ? ouch. damn major label's

Is anyone besides me interested in this Beastie
Boys/Rage Against The Machine "Rhyme Reason" tour? I just can't
resista huge fucking mainstreamarena concert, so my sad-sorry ass
just forked out $100 for 2 tickets to the damned thing. However, if the rumors
are true and At The Drive-In or The Roots open, won't it all be worth
  it?

Just wanted some of everyone's favorite bands, both new and old. I'm
looking to delve deeper into "Indie-Land". I recently picked up Bright
Eyes
because of everything you guys have been saying and I absolutely love it!
I've also been checking out Pedro The Lion, At The Drive-In, Project 86,
Guided By Voices. Other stuff I'm into include Built To Spill, Screaming
Trees, Pixies, Jewel, Megadeth, old Metallica, Tuatara, Lanegan, Galaxie
500,
Tristeza, Nirvana, etc. I can't wait to be overwhelmed by the amount of
new
music I'll have to check out.
 Thanks, Scott

Hello all, I wanted to share this experience with you. I went to the
EMP(Experience Music Project) opening on Sunday in Seattle. I saw the
concerts that day. On of my favorite all time bands was there. Built To
Spill. Almost every Modest Mouse fan I know loves BTS. Anyway, when we
 were
at the show BTS played a few covers. Neil Young's "Cortez the killer"
and

I didn't go, but I have the live album and I was amazed at how much Doug
sounds like Neil Young in "cortez the killer".it's like that song was
written for them to cover! very very cool album.

I agree, they do a great version. Slint did a cover of Cortez back in '89
which was phenomenal, seems like great bands really like covering this song.
