Okay, I finally had a good listen of the entire new album. I've heard almost all the songs in various forms, whether it's been live over the last years of touring, or on the japanese ep, or from live recordings, but this was my first listen to the produced new album. And all I'm thinking right now, is that all these people who have said Modest Mouse has sold out and the new album sucks, you are COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!! It is HILARIOUS to hear people saying they "sold out" on this album! I mean, it honestly cracks me up. I can't see how anyone who has been following Modest Mouse and their music couldn't see this as a very natural, expected, and in my opinion, GREAT progression in their course of musical existence. I am extremely excited about this album, I think it's absolutely great, and while of course it is hard to let go of their old sound, and everything they've done in the past, I don't find this album to be dissappointing at all. ryan
