My reply to Taylor Antrim's mail was:
And, ok, no more bedhead but are there any spinoff projects, solo things coming.
Who knows.

yes, like the very excellent Pedro the Lion. I dont know if they're touring anymore,
but they're were great the time I got to see them.

[MMouse]: guilty pleasures

1999-05-10 Thread Philip Smoker

I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet ain't got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend, I know you're not a fool
Shoulda known (should known better) than to cheat a friend
The wasted chance that I feel given
So I'm never gonna dance again, the way I danced with you...
whoa oh...
Whoa...

My biggest guilty pleasure would be "I Know What Boys Like" by the
Waitresses, and most Prince stuff. Guilty because I don't listen to it
often around anyone else. And The Hooters, Nervous Night, that whole album.
  Guilty as sin.

wait, what about rob bass- it takes two?

that song was awesome. did anyone else used to go to the skating rink on
friday nights? this song was the "jam" back then when shuffling was the
cool thing. and i was good at skating backwards.
but then again, that was also when i shaved my head and had NKOTB shaved in
the back. those were the days that people will never let me live down.
i can't believe i am admitting to this.

now everyone has mentioned cheese 80's bands. now these are all good. but
my
guilty pleasure would have to be britney spear's "baby one more time". you
cant beat that song.

ok, i'm not familiar w/ anything by britney spears, but there's a rumor
going around that she'll be attending my school (george washington in dc) in
the fall. i haven't seen any concrete evidence, so i dont know if this is
official or not...just thought you might be interested since you're a closet
fan.

btw: weezer are one of the sweetest bands! dont be ashamed of the
amazing-ness that is weezer

this is so true!! weezer is most excellent. though i have to confess my own
guilty pleasures...i have madonna and cyndi lauper cravings once in a while.
  don't laugh!!

Every Christmas at my house, we bust out John Denver and the Muppets...
sigh makes me cry every time.

A tradition happens every Christmas eve at my uncle's house. He breaks out
the albums, we move the furniture, and dance. Albums include Barry Manilow,
Captain Tenille, the Grease soundtrack, and Tom Jones. One of my favorite
visions is my whole family boogeying to "Kiss" by Tom Jones. Including
Grandpa.
