pRPC still in module list

2000-05-10 Thread Jochen Wiedmann

Hi,

sorry for being nasty, but I have already requested this three or four
times.
Please change the names RPC::pServer and RPC::pClient in the module list
to RPC::PlServer and RPC::PlClient. The former are *really* outdated,
but I keep getting questions on them, due to the module list.
(Note that I cannot change the module names in the WWW frontend, but
I guess that's intentional?)

And, while you are on that: It would be nice, if you could create a
directory "old"
and move the pRPC files to that location.

Thanks,

Jochen

Could you let us know which modules you plan to write within that
realm? I'd like to list at least the two or three most important ones
in the module list. Thanks!

It does not show in my "Edit Module" option from PAUSE.

Joshua, Registering means the module is listed in the modules list that exists
on CPAN. This is not the same as just uploading.

Graham.

The modules as such are uploaded on CPAN and are available in
$CPAN/authors/id/S/SO/SOMMAR.

But as I understood the way to get the modules on the module list
is send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Eh? "Register?" Did you upload them to pause.cpan.org?

Module Author Registration

2000-05-10 Thread Dave Cross

Is anyone monitoring this list for new PAUSE ID requests?

I haven't seen any new IDs for some time and there are still people
requesting them (including my request which is reposted below).

Thanks,

Dave...

your preferred user-ID on CPAN: DAVECROSS

a description of what you're planning to contribute:
The first module I want to submit is an array comparison object. It takes
references to two arrays and returns whether or not they are the same. You
can control whether or not white space is significant and whether certain
elements of the array are ignored. You can also get varying levels of
information back, from a simple boolean flag to an array of the element
indexes which differ.
