Actually people do a lot more with Unity than just games. We have a focus on anything related to 3D and games but we also have a good generic toolset for making UI's, so if you want to do a purely 2D UI and are not working on a game but something completely different thats definately doable in Unity too. Re: [Mono-dev] mono on iphone and wii
Miguel basically said it's not worth trying to get Mono to work on the iPhone for now. Either wait until Mono officially supports the iPhone (later this year? *shrugs*), or use Unity (but which is only for game making). buhochil...@gmail.com wrote: > > Hi, > I have and iphone, I have a Wii, but I don't have mono on any of > both!! > > some news and blogs on the web says that is possible and even Miguel's > presentation at PDC shows some of this portings, but all if it says in > all places is "..is kind of hard to do it right now..", ok sure, but can > someone put together some outline notes about the general steps that > have to be accomplish to try some of this portings?, may be if is > possible to put together at least some basic instructions then it can be > more easy to complete those instructions with more details when peoples > begin to use it, the later some scripts to make things easier the task > and so on,... > > any thoughts ? > > Mauricio > > ___ > Mono-devel-list mailing list > Mono-devel-list@lists.ximian.com > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-devel-list > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/mono-on-iphone-and-wii-tp23467053p23467719.html Sent from the Mono - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Mono-devel-list mailing list Mono-devel-list@lists.ximian.com http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-devel-list
