[Mono-list] HTML

2005-10-13 Thread Eduardo Osorio Armenta

hi i install mono under XP

i wonder if gtkhtml-sharp.dll was packed?

cause i tried
C:\eduardo\prog\vs.net\csharp\monodoc\gtk\htmlpkg-config
--cflags gtkhtml-sharp
Package gtkhtml-sharp was not found in the pkg-config
search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing
`gtkhtml-sharp.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtkhtml-sharp' found

i want to try the Gtk.HTML class example that
monodoc expose

but recently downloaded the svn of mono mcs gtk-sharp

to compile mono 1.1.2

follow instructions for building mono

but

i look for information under ubuntu wiki but

i don't know if is something missing (automake

read

and then under

go to

and then create a subdir called
emacs

[EMAIL PROTECTED] mkdir emacs

copy there the file that you downloaded
 csharp-mode.el

and then in your home directory
open your .emacs

and append at the end of that file:

(add-to-list 'load-path (expand-file-name ~/emacs))

;; To activate put this in your .emacs:

(autoload 'csharp-mode csharp-mode
Major mode for editing C# code. t)
(setq auto-mode-alist (cons '( \\.cs\\' .

and thats pretty all.

that works for me under cygwin-1.5.7- W2K
and Mdk9.0-9.1

NOTE: this information came embeded in csharp-mode.el

 Hi,
I've found something that maybe is a bug. When I run

 world!};

 I get the following error:

 Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException:
 A null value was found
where an object instance was required

I've tested the same program at work, with
 Microsoft's SDK (1.0), and it
 prints
 the well-known hello world! message.

Is this a bug? can someone corroborate it under mono
 and under .NET 1.1? If
that's the case, I'll be happy to write a test case
 (please indicate me
 where)
and fill a form in bugzilla.

I tried to follow the implementation in String.cs,

 more knowledge than I
 have...

Re: [Mono-list] mandrake9.1 cvs

2003-10-08 Thread Eduardo Osorio Armenta

hi,

no, the permissions is fine
no need for chmod,

but i look into the rpms (0.28) for mdk9.1
and the

mcs*

are really:

#!/bin/sh
/usr/bin/mono /usr/bin/mcs.exe $@

but monocharge is only
mcs.exe

so the point!

hey, i going to do this did you know if
it's okey!

i'm going to install rpm's mdk9.1 (0.28)
and then on cvs mcs/:

echo prefix = /usr build/config.make
make

then uninstall rpm's

and finally on cvs mcs/
make install

what do ya think!

--- Rodrigo B. de Oliveira [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
It must be something to do with the default
 installation prefix being
 /usr/local.

I copied the *.exe files to /usr/local/bin and the
 *.dll to /usr/local/lib
 and everything went
just fine (can't remember if I had to chmod them
 though).

 You can give:

  ./autogen.sh --with-prefix=/usr

 a try.
