NO, the error message is clear : "FileNotFound", the
System.Data.OracleClient, with the good version couldn't be loaded and
i guess you run a least mono version who don't have anymore Mono/Net
1.0.
That's your problem, the dll version 1.0.5000 is not in your
solution/project and/or on your server !
At least, for ASP, it isn't better to use ODBC ?

Well, as i say in my first response, i already have an repository of
it at OpenSuse Build Service, who is completely ok for I586, but OBS
seem have have problem for X86_64, and so for X86_64 it is broken, i
tried PPA and must admit it is pretty dark and really complicated for
me ! but feel free to take my dsc and source files who are completely
ok under an ubuntu machine.
For those who use I586, they can simply add my repo with the ubuntu
graphical tool "add media" like that
deb
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/surfzoid:/DebianUbuntu:/Mono/
./

Re: [Mono-list] Qestions on winform

2009-12-18 Thread Petit Eric
I work like this :
open your winform solution under linux, add an .desktop file to it,
ensure in project property, the feature "create a linux script/file"
is checked, make a right click on your solution , in the treeview, in
the contex menu use "Tool/generate make file".
So like that you will have now 2 solution :
- In the root dir of your solution : ./configure or ./autogen.sh
(depend of your preview choice) --prefix=/usr && make && sudo make
install
- Or Use my tool MonoOSC to build RPM and DEB of your software, this
is like that i deploy my win/linux app :-)

The official download page is

But, as Nagappan suggest you, it is better to use RPM specially build

You can use MonoDevelop with some useful breakpoint.
Alternatively, you can use the mono --trace option .

[Mono-list] Bug report suggestion

2009-08-25 Thread Petit Eric
Hi
I'd like to report bug and do it few time, since the old bugzilla
existed, but i find it heavy and have less and less time to do it.
My actual most used os is Mandriva, they have an easy and light way to
report bug, there is an application who handled crash, the stack trace
and some useful info are automatically filled, they you can correct
them and click to the button "report" , who will open the web page of
bugzilla, then you just have to review and confirm your report.
Another way is to follow the Nvidia driver script
("nvidia-bug-report.sh") to generate the bug report.

So to conclude, an daemon, service or other application embedded with
the mono framework , should be really welcome.
Thanks for your efforts and i wish you good continuation.

Re: [Mono-list] Service do not start

2009-08-04 Thread Petit Eric
to be clear, you should restart from zero, by cleaning all, the
"normal" dir should be "locale", except if you have compiled mono from
source without --prefix=/usr
LD_Lib.. is for lib (/usr/lib(64), /lib )
PATH is for bin only (/usr/bin, /bin )
if you have mono in normal install dir (/usr/lib), you don't need to
"tweak" path in your startup script
After what, if you really want parallel install, i suggest you to read this :
http://www.mono-project.com/Parallel_Mono_Environments
But i guess, this is not what you want

First, do yu need to be root for /etc/... ?
after, just before the previous command line in the shell :
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/
but i think, yu also need to keep, /usr/lib (64) and /lib

You also have http://software.opensuse.org/ to find "non official" RPM
this is also a good place, to build RPM your self, i suggest you my

You have an easy way to produce package, my MonoOSC :-), who is a
client to the opensuse OBS :
http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/Client_MonoOSC
https://build.opensuse.org/

Also, i have started to write an universal installer, based on the
fact to extract RPM file of an .Net/Mono software packaged in a RPM at
OBS or locally.
The idea is to use OBS as a web media of RPM and so have a RPM manager
like Linux who will run under all platform (Mac, windows and
Linux(Linux can already use standard RPM manager)), to finally
uncompress file at the right place.

The idea for User/developer/maintainer is to have to manage an
standalone project and use the same interface for distribution of a
software production.

[Mono-list] Bluetooth socket in NET/MONO

2009-03-25 Thread Petit Eric
Hi
i'm not complety sur, but i think i have a trickly case, let me try
to explain, i play with bluetooth under nux and win, at this time, i m
sur MS use a socket familly 0x20, bluez use a 0x1F (32) one,when i try
to create a socket under linux with fammilly 0x1F or 0x20, i have an
error "An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used",
when i made a socket under windows with 0x20 it is okay and with 0x1F
i have also the "incompatible" error, i see in the framework
(Net/mono) enum familly there isn't the 0x20 and 0x1F, so that would
say MS manage silently the 0X20 fammily in Net framework and mono not
?

or simply there isn't an "overwrite" method to "bypass" this error ?

For information, i use the Bluez-sharp wrapper who seem ready for
linux and windows, i have modified it and start to write a MonoObex
project to provite full obex protocol and common transport
(Irda,Serial, Bluetooth and USB) in C#, the modified version can be
found here :
http://cs-obexftp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/cs-obexftp/MonoObex/trunk/MonoObex/BluezSharp/
I use the project "TestObex", whose at this time, seem to be a really
good starting point, since it can conect and list folders with
Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, so once i will be able to have a Bluez
socket under linux . :-)

Not sur to understand all, but the easy way should be to folow
monodevelop make file integration and say
/usr/lib/Nant/Nant.exe
then
/usr/bin/Nant with inside

[Mono-list] several mono-service, but always display same process name/command in ksysguard

2009-03-02 Thread Petit Eric
Hi
I noticed , mono-service always run with the same process name/cmd, so
we cannot know which service is really running.
I simply change the mono-service script by adding -a $assembly to
"exec" and so put a "sane" default value, but adding an actual -a:NAME
paramter may also be useful with other existing one; should be better
than :

if $debug; then
   exec -a $assembly /usr/bin/mono $MONO_OPTIONS
/usr/lib/mono/2.0/mono-service.exe $args
else
   exec -a $assembly /usr/bin/mono $MONO_OPTIONS
/usr/lib/mono/2.0/mono-service.exe $args /dev/null 2>&1 &

you did evrything as root user :"/root/mono/mon..." ?
you did install of mod_mono with deb, but it break depandancy by not
installing the mono runtime (who have System.Web.Extensions), because
not sur , but rather use /usr/bin/gacutil (from deb) you use :
../../class/lib/net_1_1_bootstrap/gacutil.exe
perhap's try something complety clean with :
http://www.mono-project.com/Parallel_Mono_Environments
after wath, in the same prefix, get xsp from mono svn and install it ,
this will give you ability to test if you have ASP.NET working

perhap's try the one include in Mono
at last yu can imagine, a list of file with there attribute, write
that in a text file and embded it in the zip, but i think it should
preserve attrib.
Another way is to folow RPM, by build a CPIO (it is very easy) and gzip the CPIO

I have writted MonoOSC , a GUI to use OBS system, it have an SPEC file
Wizard to help you for build a basic RPM, also i m working on an RPM
manager style to be abble to install build RPM on an no RPM platform,
so i suggest you to use it :-)
MonoOSC project page : https://sourceforge.net/projects/monoosc/
MonoOSC binary : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/surfzoid/
The RPM manager devel/progress :
http://surfzoid.free.fr/freevbsoft/MonoRPM/MonoRpm-gzip&lzma.tar.bz2
Help for RPM manager is welcome, i search developper who want to joint
the project/idea :-)
If you need help, just ask
You have also info about MonoOSC here :
http://mono-project.com/OpenSUSE_Build_Service
and here :
http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service#Graphical_user_interface_.28GUI.29_and_Framework
Note : if you use SVN version of Mono, there is a regression bug who
make MonoOSC crash when loading info of an package project.

Funny, i m working on a project to that :-)
http://surfzoid.free.fr/freevbsoft/MonoRPM/MonoRpm-gzip&lzma.tar.bz2
My idea is to build package throug OBS sytem or third part and provide
to an user an RPM Manager like, for installing RPM on an "No RPM
platform"
Your are welcome to this project if you feel it :-)
