Rohit, what kind of installation you are looking at.
If you are familiar with rpm, then packages are already
 available on www.mono-project.com

If you are interested in building and installing mono from source
 code,
the README in mono directory gives you complete step by step
procedure. Also procedure for checking out source code from
CVS is already present on www.mono-project.com

 Hope it helps,
 Sanjay

Re: [Mono-list] [Q] Mono on Windows

2004-07-23 Thread Rohit K Gupta
Hi Daniel,

What you can try just recompile the program with the option -target:winexe
then you will be able to run the application without terminal window
because window treats normal exe to console applications
hope this helps

Rohit

Subject: [Mono-list] [Q] Mono on Windows

I'm about to ask a dumb question. :-(
I made a program with GNU/Linux. Now I'm trying to get it to work with
Windows, and my lack of Windows experience is showing.

I made a .bat file that runs 'mono myprogram.exe'. Purpose being, the
user can just click on that file instead of using a terminal. This works,
but for some reason, a terminal still appears when you click on the .bat
file. How do you prevet a .bat file from bringing up a terminal?

 Thanks for the help.

 Cheers,
