[Mono-list] Problem installing mono 2.8 on a fresh openSUSE 11.3
*I did the following in the terminal:* 1) zypper addrepo http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/download-stable/openSUSE_11.3 mono-stable 2) zypper refresh --repo mono-stable 3) zypper dist-upgrade --repo mono-stable *... and got the following:* Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Computing distribution upgrade... Problem: nothing provides pkgconfig(glib-2.0) needed by libgdiplus0-2.8-31.1.i586 Solution 1: keep obsolete libgdiplus0-2.6.4-2.1.1.i586 Solution 2: break libgdiplus0 by ignoring some of its dependencies Neither of those solutions look like the right move. Re: [Mono-list] Problem installing mono 2.8 on a fresh openSUSE 11.3
Nevermind. I ran just zypper dist-upgrade first and it installed the needed packages. After than running zypper dist-upgrade --repo mono-stable worked perfectly. - Joshua Poehls On Sun, Nov 7, 2010 at 11:26 AM, Joshua Poehls jos...@zduck.com wrote: *I did the following in the terminal:* 1) zypper addrepo http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/download-stable/openSUSE_11.3 mono-stable 2) zypper refresh --repo mono-stable 3) zypper dist-upgrade --repo mono-stable *... and got the following:* Loading repository data... Hi! Thanks for all the answers, I got the rpm from somewhere from the internet. Could you please add a link to the posix file on the download-page where you have all the other dependency-files, please. There are no packages for mod_mono, because I couldn't get it working yet. Quel Qun, who did work on the packages claims it works for him, so I have to fiddle with it some more. I don't know if Ximian wants to make packages for Mandrake themselves.
