Hello, The SerialPort class is implemented by Microsoft in the .net 2.0 framework in the System.IO.Ports namespace. Mono doesn't seem to have it implemented yet. But eventually someone will implement it. Mono has implemented it; see: http://www.mono-project.com/HowToSystemIOPorts The one potential problem is that it's part of the 2.0 class libraries.
