[Mono-list] Web Site

2004-03-19 Thread Tracy Barlow
I now have a website up www.tracyannesoftware.net (it's my Resume) using
ASP.NET under Mono (0.29). Its running on a Mandrake 9.2 Linux SMP
server (Dual Processor Pentium III 500Mhz CPUs).

During Load testing I noted two things, mod-mono-server crashed under
moderately heavy load, > 20 concurrent connections, and moderatlely
heavy loads seem to cause socket errors.

One problem with the load testing application (Microsoft Application
Center Test) is that it does not seem to represent real world conditions
(at least where my site is concerned) as it can only call one page (in
this case)

[Mono-list] Web site

2004-03-20 Thread Tracy Barlow
Thanks Gonzallo, I have jsut finished downloading 0.31, I was waiting
for the MS Windows version, as I am developing using the VS.NET IDE and
compiling with mono before copying the files to Linux. I will get it set
up on my development machine tomorrow hopefully.

Hi Tracy!

First of all, thank you for trying mono/mod_mono! :)

The most recent released versions are: mono 0.31, mod_mono 0.7 and
mod-mono-server 0.9. These will, hopefully, fix some of those issues. If
they don't, please tell us about any problem and provide stack traces,
test cases or any information that can help us to improve mod_mono
performance.

Thanks!

-Gonzalo

[Mono-list] Web Site Problems

2004-04-21 Thread Steve Walker
Title: Message

I set up a news feed
to promote your project on my ASP.NET related sites and then checked it later on
and saw a 403 - forbidden error...  I came to the site to check it out and
lo and behold... the feed is broken...

This is the path to
the feed I was consuming: http://www.go-mono.com/index.rss

I then clicked the
link on that page to report a problem and it composed and email to [EMAIL PROTECTED].. I am not sure but I don' think
that will ever get delivered

I have been
promoting and watching this project with great interest and you killed a
valuable tool that enabled me to do so !!!

Help,

[Mono-list] WEB SITE DOWN???

2004-06-30 Thread ted leslie
www.mono-project.com is up but all links to download software go to
go-mono.com (the old site)
and this is unreachable,
is there a DNS change in the works and I am cached, or is it down
because of everyone and their uncle downloading new release?

I think it is primarily due to the /.ing. Furthermore, the Gentoo
community had ebuilds out half an hour before the announcement, so every
Gentoo user and their uncle doing a system update is hitting on the
server too...

I actually just managed to get through, now let's see how the download
goes... ^_^

[Mono-list] Web site issues resolved.

2004-07-02 Thread Miguel de Icaza
Hello,

The Mono Web site did take an unusual amount of load from the 1.0
release, beyond what we had expected. Since we did not expect all this
attention, no mirrors were setup in advance.

We now have balanced the load between two machines, please try again
if you had a problem downloading Mono.
