Might be a good idea to try running some stuff under valgrind; that's
the sort of bug it might be able to catch...

I remember having seen this as well, but haven't been able to reproduce
it either. A glibc error is rather bizarre, IMO.

[Monotone-devel] Monotone Crash

2008-12-03 Thread Ulf Ochsenfahrt
Hello everyone,

I was just syncing when I got a monotone crash, as you can see from the log
below. It's not reproducible - second sync worked. I'm posting it here to
preserve the log in case someone encounters this again. No core dump,
apparently.

Cheers,

[Monotone-devel] monotone crash

2006-01-25 Thread Will Lentz

Hi
all,

I'm playing around
with monotone 0.25 and got the crash below.  I have a strange directory
setup...  /home/wlentz_local/coreBuild/CACHEDIR is a symbolic link pointing to
/home/wlentz_local/coreBuild/ (ls -l CACHEDIR shows "CACHEDIR -> ."), so I
can see how monotone got confused by infinitely trying to
recurse.

[Monotone-devel] Monotone crash

2006-01-22 Thread Marc Lütolf

Hello,

Had this happen to me 3 times in a row trying to propagate from one
branch to another. The branches in question are 2 different versions of
the Xaraya framework.
The crash seems to come at the end of an otherwise uneventful propagate.
The biggest difference past the point of failure that I can see is that
the version I am propagating to contains the adodb middleware files,
whereas the version I am propagating from does not. With that in mind I
dropped adodb from the version I am propagating to, but still get the error.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes, this is a known problem with the coLinux tree; they have some
mildly corrupted revisions created with a pre-0.19 monotone (when it
was possible to create such revisions).  They're aware of the problem;
I'm not sure what their current workaround is. The problem currently
only prevents doing an initial netsync, so somehow you have to get a
"preloaded" db...

We need to rebuild that history at some point in the nearish future
to get rid of such things, but exactly when and how isn't figured out
yet. _Everyone_ will have to rebuild in the nearish future when we
implement some planned changes to the revision/manifest format, so
that might be a good time for it...

Re: [Monotone-devel] monotone crash report

2005-07-15 Thread Stephane Gauthier
Actually, we won't be able to do that until next week as our server is
still running 0.19. They've decided to update them to 0.20 next week so
hopefully it will go away.

Thanks and keep up the excellent work!

Would you be able to try 0.20 and see if that works
correctly? I think this bug should be fixed in that release.

Cheers,
Matt

[Monotone-devel] monotone crash report

2005-07-14 Thread Stephane Gauthier

I don't know if this helps but I thought I'd send it anyways.
The thing just crapped out after a merge.
That's another weird thing that's been going on lately under our project
(www.nslu2-linux.org); monotone forces me to do 3-way merges of files I
never even open, even less, edit. Could be just our master repo too.

Thanks,
