wow. why wouldn't you bid on unseen items? moreover, some listings merely say poster assortment without a single title listed. i saw two/three titles i liked scattered among some really cheap, unheard of stuff. one poster i want is worth 30.00!!! another i liked in a different lot is worth 150.00. ..but this is assuming the pictures won't show issues. I do keyword searches for multiple titles using long lists of words like this: (stood,noon,snatchers,thing,crowd,place,mutiny,bad,executive,waterfront,kwai,thief,strangers,like,sunset,touch,success,forbidden,Harvey,eve,angry,anatomy,cat,dial,eternity,hurrah,blackboard,suddenly,defiant,pork,beat,killing,harder,Northwest,asphalt,witness,giant,swan in theory this should return any item with any of the above words in it suddenly they're all screwed up, has ebay shortened the allowable search length or changed the format or something? Hello; I have NO idea what the new search problems are... can anyone tell me just what the heck is Best Match anyway? My best guess is that sellers with 100% feedback and/or high DSR ratings show first, thus knocking everything out of order only making it more confusing... I have noticed that the Best Matches are usually newbies that haven't been around long enough to be plagued with a neutral or neg. For the last several months, when relisting my Store items in bulk, I have noticed many problems due to system errors... I couldn't help but notice that recently eBay has been pushing the automatic re-list option (so that they can immediately relist for you and charge that insertion fee as soon as possible). I guess this is because folks aren't using the GTC (Good 'Til Canceled) option rather than the 30 days, so that the relist shows as Newly Listed. I choose the 30 days so that I can have control of my items, so as to keep them chronological in case I have new additions. Bulk relisting didn't use to be a problem, but now it's almost impossible. None of my searches are working either. All I get are ebay stores Buy It Now listings. I hate eBay. I. Hate. eBay. That's why I'm using Movie Poster Bid and eBid.net more and more. For non poster auctions and sales, I really recommend eBid.net. Sure, there isn't as much traffic, but it is a great site, free listings, and well organized. It deserves to succeed and I am listing my non-poster auctions there hoping it will catch on with more folks. [MOPO] FA: Just about the craziest thing I have seen in a long time
With just a few hours to go, there are still 410 of the lobby cards I am auctioning under $10 (and 250 of those are at from $1 to $4 each). Now I could understand this better if these were crappy cards, OR if they carried those absurd $9 buyers premiums each, OR if they were sold with rip-off shipping, but there are some nice cards languishing at just a few dollars each, and even the ones that are much higher priced are mostly WAY under the money you see for such cards at big city auctions, or collectible shows, or from dealers' websites. Of course, lots of these MAY get last minute bids, but then again they may not, but if there are lots of good deals, then you won't have gotten them unless you were the one bidding!
